Zenara & Astralym are the final Tower Boss waiting deep inside the World Tree, and reaching the arena is only the beginning of the real challenge.
The battle throws almost everything at you at once, from tracking projectiles and tornadoes to enormous laser patterns that can swallow the arena.
If you are researching the fight ahead of time, here is exactly how the encounter works and what you need to do when Astralym starts changing phases.
Zenara & Astralym Location
Zenara & Astralym are located inside the Sealed Sanctum at the western end of the World Tree, around -1993, 1350.
The coordinates take you to the sealed entrance leading toward the final arena, rather than directly to the boss itself.
You will not be able to enter immediately, since the seal remains locked until you complete the required World Tree objectives.
How To Unlock Zenara & Astralym?
The final boss is locked behind the World Tree’s endgame progression, so there are several things you need to complete before the final door becomes available.
You first need to complete the Panthalus storyline and gain access to the World Tree before you can begin working toward the Sealed Sanctum.
Once inside, interact with the sealed entrance around -1993, 1350 to begin the objectives required to break the seal.
Three Level 78 encounters will then become part of the progression, sending you to different locations throughout the World Tree.
These include Silvance at Shinespore Root, Dandilord at Rotmist Root, and a multi-wave encounter inside the Forbidden Laboratory.
The other major requirement is collecting all eight Key Spheres from the required Tower Bosses before the final entrance can be opened.
All Eight Key Spheres
You need the Key Sphere from every major Tower Boss in the progression, including the newer bosses added later in the game’s story.
The eight required bosses are:
- Zoe & Grizzbolt
- Lily & Lyleen
- Axel & Orserk
- Marcus & Faleris
- Victor & Shadowbeak
- Saya & Selyne
- Bjorn & Bastigor
- Auri & Shaolong
Auri & Shaolong are particularly important because their Key Sphere completes the eight-sphere requirement needed for the final door.
After collecting all eight and clearing the World Tree encounters, return to -1993, 1350 and interact with the seal again.
The barrier will finally open, allowing you to climb the stairs beyond it and reach the massive doors leading into the final boss arena.
How To Prepare For The Fight?
Zenara & Astralym are Level 80, so you should treat this as a serious endgame build check rather than another Tower Boss you can comfortably brute-force.
Astralym is typeless, meaning there is no elemental weakness you can build your entire strategy around, so raw damage and survivability matter more here.
Bring your strongest combat Pals with good passive skills, high investment, powerful Active Skills, and enough health to survive repeated area attacks.
Your own equipment matters just as much, so enter with your best armor, shield, ranged weapon, healing items, and enough ammunition to handle a lengthy battle.
A fast Flying Pal is extremely useful throughout the encounter because Astralym constantly repositions and many of its attacks are much easier to avoid while you are airborne.
How To Defeat Zenara & Astralym?
Keep moving throughout the fight to avoid Astralym’s lasers, homing projectiles, tornadoes, and falling hazards, with a Flying Pal making repositioning easier.
When Astralym moves to the center and begins charging, destroy the glowing wings and orbs around its legs to interrupt the attack.
After transforming, Astralym becomes more aggressive and fills the arena with larger overlapping laser patterns, so focus on finding safe openings between the beams.
Astralym can temporarily become immune, giving you time to heal, reload, reposition, and rotate weakened Pals before attacking again.
Continue watching for the wing charge during the second phase, as failing to destroy its vulnerable targets can result in a devastating attack.
At around 30,000 HP, Astralym begins its final attack with a short countdown, so use your strongest weapons and Pal skills to finish the fight before it ends.
Zenara & Astralym Rewards
Defeating Zenara & Astralym normally rewards 5 Ancient Technology Points, along with Character EXP and Pal EXP.
Astralym cannot be captured or bred, so defeating the final boss does not give you a new combat Pal to add to your party.
The victory completes Awakening and triggers the ending sequence that concludes the main story.
The harder version of the encounter has additional rewards, including Zenara’s Hat and the Dark Skill Fruit: Psycho Gravity.
What Happens After Defeating Zenara & Astralym?
Defeating Zenara & Astralym completes the main story and triggers the ending scene, with your character returning to the beach where the adventure began.
The ending shows your character surrounded by the Pals that joined you throughout the journey, bringing the story to its conclusion.
After the ending, you can continue playing on your existing save, letting you explore the world, finish remaining content, and take on Zenara & Astralym again.
Verdict
Zenara & Astralym deliver a fitting final challenge, combining constant movement, dangerous attack patterns, and mechanics that punish mistakes.
The wing charge is the fight’s biggest priority, while the transformation and final countdown force you to stay focused through the entire battle.
Learn the attack patterns, manage your Pals properly, and the final boss becomes a demanding but manageable conclusion to Palworld’s main story.
