Diablo 4 Favor Tokens (How to Get, Uses & Cap)

With the Battle Pass reworked and the Reliquaries now into play, you can now choose the rewards that you get as you progress through each season.

There are 4 Reliquaries, where 1 is free and the other 3 need to be unlocked with Diablo 4’s Premium Currency, Platinum.

This is where Favor Tokens come in as these are used to purchase specific rewards from the Reliquaries once you have enough.

How To Get Favor Tokens?

Obtaining Favor Tokens is easy and all you must do is play through the season and you are bound to obtain them now and then.

Favor Tokens are obtained once you kill a certain amount of enemies or complete quests as this feature has its meter that progresses depending on what you do.

Killing enemies provides you with small amounts of progress while completing quests may take more time but grants you a ton of progression. (This makes it best to do both)

Favor Token Uses

Favor Tokens are used to purchase the Reliquary Rewards, which has replaced the old Battle Pass System and now allows you to choose what rewards you get first.

Each of the items in a Reliquary will have a different cost and the different Reliquaries will have different items for you to spend your Favor Tokens on.

Each Reliquary will have a set of cosmetics and other items that may be purchased, which later allows you to obtain the main item that is available.

Favor Token Cap

Favor Tokens are capped at 99, which means once you have 99 of them, you won’t generate any more until you have spent some.

This makes it important to purchase what you can if you already have or more than half of the Favor Tokens Cap.

Once you have spent Favor Tokens and have less than 99, you will be able to earn more Favor Tokens by killing enemies and doing quests again.

Verdict

Favor Tokens are obtained faster than expected and you will know that you have obtained one since the notification will appear on your screen.

Farming Favor Tokens is done best when you are doing quests and killing enemies along the way since both lead to progression.

Once you hit the Favor Token Cap, it would be a good idea to spend your Favor Tokens right away since you can always earn more later.
