After Sayeena had previously discovered your ability to use the new powers you obtained after a link was made between you and Belial, she sent you off to become stronger.
Sayeena has discovered a way to banish Belial but needs your help in retrieving a key item that is believed to be the only thing missing to make the ritual work.
You will need to search for a certain Flayed Mask in a buried cathedral but you won’t be going along because on the way there, you are going to drag Jarius along with you.
How To Get Buried Hope Quest?
Buried Hope will initially be locked until you have progressed with the Unveiler’s Oath, which requires you to reach Tier 3.
The Belial’s Apparition Incursion (Repeatable Quest) will be active until you reach Tier 3, which automatically activates the Buried Hope Seasonal Quest.
Buried Hope Walkthrough
Once the quest starts, the first thing you will need to do is head to Sayeena and speak with her and this is when she tells you about the cathedral that was buried. (Now known as the Buried Outpost)
After speaking to Sayeen, you will need to stop by Menestad and search for Jarius but his location won’t be marked and instead just the area where you can find him. (He’s at the Blacksmith)
Speak with Jarius and the two of you will then head off to the Westering Lowlands where the two of you need to Clear Debris until you find the entrance to the Buried Outpost.
The Buried Outpost will be revealed when you interact with the debris around the eastern part of the marked area, which is close to the Firebreak Manor.
Fight your way through the monsters in the Buried Outpost and eventually, you will reach a room where several ghosts will spawn.
You will need to defeat all of the ghosts before moving on and once the area is clear, a Dust-Covered Chest will be revealed.
Interact with the Dust-Covered Chest and this will cause the Flayed Mask to drop, which you will now pick up and bring to Sayeena.
Head back to Sayeena and speak with her, which results in her telling you that she needs time to prepare before the quest ends.
Buried Hope Quest Rewards
Bringing the Flayed Mask to Sayeena and finishing the dialogue you have with her will complete the quest, rewarding you with the following:
- XP
- Gold
- Archetype Cache
Verdict
Sayeen was right about the artifact known as the Flayed Mask and hopefully, this will be of use when it comes to banishing Belial.
Jarius seems to be uncomfortable using an artifact that looks so grotesque and suspects that Sayeena is hiding something or may even be a pawn of Belial.
Now that the Flayed Mask is with Sayeena, you will need to continue growing your power until she is ready to perform the ritual. (Reach Unveiler’s Oath Tier 5 for the next quest)
