Diablo 4 Apparition Incursion (How to Find, Bosses, Rewards & Mechanics)

Diablo 4’s Season 8: Belial’s Return has added a new event that you can now participate in, which is the Apparition Incursions.

Belial is bringing his Apparitions and powerful bosses into Sanctuary, and it is up to you to put a stop to his plans.

Along the way, there is a ton of loot to obtain but that is not all, this event also allows you to encounter Greater Apparitions that you may defeat to obtain Boss Powers.

How To Find Apparition Incursions?

To find Apparition Incursions, check out your map and you will find the Apparition Icon, and this is where the event will take place.

You may also notice a timer that shows how long it will take before another one starts, which should give you enough time to locate the event area.

Apparition Incursion Mechanics

Once you find an Apparition Incursion, head over to the location and wait for it to begin as there will be time for others to join the event.

You may want to deal with the other monsters in the area as they may be annoying to fight alongside the ones that spawn during the event.

Keep in mind that Belial may appear from time to time to attack you during and even before the event starts so make sure to be ready for anything. (You won’t be able to attack him)

Once the event has started, you will need to destroy a Betraying Eye to disrupt Belial’s Illusion, and this causes his minions to spawn.

You will need to slay Apparitions to stop Belial’s Illusion, and these are the enemies that spawn during the event. (A bar will show your progress along with a timer)

There will be Betraying Eyes located nearby that you may destroy to cause more Apparitions to spawn in the area. (Defeating enough will make a Boss appear)

The Boss that will appear will be one of the Apparition Bosses that were added in the Season 8 update.

After a Boss Apparition has been defeated, Belial may begin to summon another Greater Apparition (Boss Apparition) in another area.

Head to the location and you will once again need to destroy Betraying Eyes and defeat Apparitions until another Boss appears.

After defeating enough Apparition Bosses, the showdown with Belial will begin shortly after, giving you time to head to the marked location.

Once Belial appears, you will need to defeat him to complete the event, which can easily be done by evading his attacks and teaming up with other wanderers.

Upon defeating Belial during the Apparition Incursion, he will drop loot and the event will come to an end.

Apparition Bosses

Bosses that may spawn during the Apparition Incursion event are random and may include the following:

  • Allek Apparition
  • Beastmaster Apparition
  • Blackmailer Apparition
  • Flesh Reaper Apparition
  • Hatred’s Embrace Apparition
  • Kirma Apparition
  • Outlaw Sharpshooter Apparition
  • Sinerat Apparition
  • Skerg Apparition
  • Torusk Apparition

Boss Apparitions that you defeat for the first time will reward you with a Boss Power tied to the specific one you defeat.

Apparition Incursion Rewards

Belial will drop random loot just like with other bosses and these scale with the difficulty that you are playing on.

While these drops are basic loot, the real rewards here are the Boss Powers as well as the Spectral Ash for upgrading them.

Aside from the loot you get from Belial, the Greater Apparition tends to drop loot as well and sometimes you may get lucky with what you find.

Verdict

Compared to the other events in Diablo 4’s other seasons, Apparition Incursions appear to be some of the fastest and most fun ways to grind.

This is most likely because you don’t have to wait for so long as progress depends on how fast you can defeat the enemies that you encounter.

If you are aiming to upgrade your Boss Powers and boost your Unveiler’s Oath Reputation, participating in this event is a must.
