Forgotten Altar Spawn Rate
Forgotten Witchcraft Altars have a certain chance to spawn based on which Difficulty you are playing starting from torment.

- Torment I – 3% Chance
- Torment II – 4% Chance
- Torment III – 5% Chance

How To Increase Forgotten Altar Spawn?
The chances of finding a Forgotten Altar are slim and this makes it a bit difficult to run into them during your dungeon runs.
To increase the chance of finding a Forgotten Altar, you may use a Draught of Whispers, which may be obtained by uprooting Exposed Roots and opening Whisper Caches.
Once the Draught of Whispers has been consumed, the chance of encountering a Forgotten Altar will be doubled based on the World Tier you are on.

Finding Forgotten Altars can be done in any dungeon, but players have found it easier to search for them in the Hoarfrost Demise.
This is because the Hoarfrost Demise is one of the smallest dungeons in the game and you can easily search the area and repeat the dungeon.
Resorting to the Hoarfrost Dungeon when searching for these altars requires that you run the dungeon and repeat it until you encounter Forgotten Altars.
Forgotten Altar Lost Witchcraft Spells
Finding a Forgotten Altar will unlock one of the Lost Witchcraft Spells, which require you to locate 4 of them to unlock every spell.
The following Lost Witchcraft Spells can be unlocked by finding Forgotten Altars:

- Hex Specialization
