Completing The Taken Path Exotic Quest requires you to complete 3 different quests, which include Curse of Revenge.
The Curse of Revenge quest puts you up to the challenges of fighting enemies in a Nightmare Hunt and later taking down a Hunter of Power to find a Taken Osseous Fragment.
Similar to the other quests, the Curse of Revenges is a quest that you will need to complete if you ever plan on getting your hands on the Barrow-Dyad. (Exotic Submachine Gun)
How To Get Curse of Revenge Quest?
Curse of Revenge can be obtained once you have started The Taken Path Exotic Quest and have progressed up to Quest Step 5.
Quest Step 5 provides you with 3 different quests, which include the Curse of Revenge, Curse of Urgency, and Curse of Endurance.
These 3 quests need to be completed for you to progress with The Taken Path Exotic Quest and are tied with one another.
Curse of Revenge Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Break Curse in Nightmare Hunt: Pride
This Quest Step requires that you begin the Nightmare Hunt: Pride activity on the Moon and progress to the final area where you encounter the boss.
You will need to interact with the Taken object to obtain the Taken Power before continuing the fight and once you have defeated the enemies (mainly the boss), this step will be finished.
Starting Nightmare Hunt: Pride may be done by opening the Destination’s Menu and selecting it from the Moon. (This is one of the Protective Curses that needs to be broken)
Step 2: Break the Protective Curses
Upon completion of the first Quest Step, the second one reveals that there are 3 more Protective Curses that need to be broken.
Each Protective Curse is in one of the 3 quests available during The Taken Path Exotic Quest and each one of them needs to be completed to progress to the third Quest Step.
Similar to the first quest step, each of these quests will require that you break a curse in a specific location or activity.
The following are where Protective Curses need to be broken:
- Curse of Revenge – Nightmare Hunt: Pride (Moon)
- Curse of Urgency – Hallowed Grove Lost Sector, The Sludge (EDZ)
- Curse of Endurance – Altar of Sorrows, Sorrow’s Harbor (Moon)
Step 3: Somewhere in the Nether, something carries the Taken Osseous Fragment you seek. Find and defeat it.
The last Quest Step of Curse of Revenge will have you searching for another Taken Osseous Fragment and to find it you need to locate a statue in The Mausoleum.
You will find the statue if you make your way to where you encounter the boss and just as you go down, go around the left side and you will find it there.
Interacting with the statue will summon Toriix, Hunter of Power and you will need to defeat him before you can grab the Taken Osseous Fragment. (It appears at the statue)
Picking up the Taken Osseous Fragment will complete the quest and once Curse of Revenge and the other quests are done, you may progress with The Taken Path.
Verdict
Unlike with Curse of Urgency and Curse of Endurance, you will be facing a different type of enemy once you interact with the statue. (Taken Wizard is fought in the other quests)
Some players may be brought into other locations and progressing may not even allow you to reach The Mausoleum, which makes it better to just restart The Nether activity.
You can run past most of the enemies and don’t have to do any objectives to interact with the statue, making these quests easy to finish.
