Limbo is a Warframe built around shifting between dimensions, giving him a playstyle that controls the battlefield by deciding who can interact with him.
He uses the Rift to isolate enemies, protect himself from harm, and control large areas without needing heavy firepower or constant movement.
With his unique way of bending the Rift to his advantage, Limbo can turn the tide of any mission by shutting down threats before they become a problem.

Limbo Abilities
Passive Ability
Limbo can enter the Rift when he performs a Dodge, leaving behind a portal that lasts for 5 seconds for allies to enter for 15 seconds.
Both allies and enemies may enter the Rift, resulting in enemies killed within restoring 10 Energy regardless of whether Limbo is inside or not.
1) Banish
Limbo casts a wave of Rift energy that damages enemies, pushing them along with his allies out of Limbo’s current plane of existence.
Elude (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 25 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Range | 35 Meters | Ability Range |
Duration | 25 Seconds | Ability Duration |
| Damage | 250 Impact | Ability Strength |
Augment Mods:
- Rift Haven causes allies that are banished to the rift to have a percentage of their Maximum Health restored every second. Obtained from Arbiters of Hexis/Cephalon Suda.
2) Stasis
Limbo freezes any rift-bound enemies, and while the ability is active, enemy projectiles are stopped in mid-air and released when Stasis ends.
Allies can safely move through the Stasis and may continue to fight enemies as they can easily move out of any projectile’s way.
Stasis (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 50 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Duration | 15 Seconds | Ability Duration |
3) Rift Surge
Limbo surges nearby Rift-bound enemies with Rift energy, causing them to transfer the Surge to enemies outside of the rift when killed.
Surged enemies that will end up leaving the Rift will perform a radial Banish, applying its effects in an area around them.
Rift Surge (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 50 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Duration | 25 Seconds | Ability Duration |
Radius | 25 Meters | Ability Range |
| Banish Duration | 18 Seconds | Ability Duration |
Banish Radius | 5 Meters | Ability Range |
4) Cataclysm
When activated, Limbo unleashes a blast of Void energy that tears open a pocket of the rift plane in an area shaped as a sphere.
Enemies unlucky enough to be caught in the sphere take damage when it is created as well as when it collapses on them.
Cataclysm (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 100 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Duration | 30 Seconds | Ability Duration |
Radius | 16 Meters | Ability Range |
| Explosion Damage | 500 Blast | Ability Strength |
Augment Mods:
- Cataclysmic Continuum increases the duration of Cataclysm when enemies are killed. Obtained from Arbiters of Hexis/Cephalon Suda.
Verdict
Limbo is a reliable crowd control Warframe who can remove enemies from the fight by sending them into the Rift, making them easy targets while separating them from their allies.
He is a strong pick for missions that need careful movement, especially spy runs, since he can ignore traps and bring allies safely through hazards with his Rift abilities.
With Cataclysm shaping the field and his control over who can act inside the Rift, Limbo can make many missions much easier by locking down enemies and giving his team room to move.
