Cyte-09 Abilities

Passive

When Cyte-09 kills an enemy by attacking their weak point (ranged and melee), he gains a 1% Weak Point Critical Chance.

This increases the chance for him to land a Critical Hit when targeting weak points, which stacks up to 300% until you extract from the mission.

Cyte-09 will lose the bonus Weak Point Critical Chance if he is killed and has to revive during the mission.

1) Seek

Cyte-09 places an antenna on the ground, which scans the area in front of it, revealing enemies and causing their weak spots to be marked.

Enemies that are marked will be visible through walls and take additional Weak Spot Damage while Cyte-09’s weapons will gain additional Punch Through.

2) Resupply

Allows Cyte-09 to toss Elemental Ammo Packs that will refill the magazine of the weapon you have equipped, granting it a new damage type.

The effect lasts for only one magazine per Elemental Ammo Pack, which will be available for your whole squad so that no one misses out. (Holding the ability allows you to choose the Damage Type)

Weapons that have their ammo boosted by Resupply will benefit from 50% Sniper Extra Damage or 25% for other weapons.

Additionally, Cyte-09’s will be restored for each enemy that he kills while the effects of Evade are active.

4) Neutralize

Cyte-09 summons the Neutralizer (Exalted Sniper Rifle) that fires bullets that ricochet when you target Weak Points that seek out other Weak Points.

The Neutralizer’s Alternate Fire allows Cyte-09 to unleash a Cold Grenade that completely freezes enemies.

Cyte-09’s Exalted Rifle deals high damage thanks to its base stats and the Damage Multiplier from this ability.

Cyte-09 Strategy

Cyte-09 is great at long-range combat but this doesn’t mean he won’t be able to do a good amount of damage with a melee weapon since his first ability works for both melee and ranged weapons.

Planting an antenna with his first ability, Cyte-09 can detect where enemies are as they will be highlighted and will be able to also see their weak spots.

Using his fourth ability (Neutralizer), he can easily snipe enemies through walls and from a distance thanks to the punch through and this will cause bullets to ricochet and kill other enemies.

By the time other enemies reach you, they will either be dead or won’t be able to do anything as you can use the third skill to make a quick escape or dish out melee attacks without being seen.

Depending on your targets, you can use Resupply to alter your Damage Type, which can be useful in taking down stronger enemies and even bosses.

Verdict

Cyte-09 is great at dealing damage and even if you may need to sacrifice some mods to get higher amounts of damage, his survivability is still good.

Modding the Neutralizer allows you to deal insane damage and with the bonus of Cyte-09’s passive, you will often be one-shotting enemies with ease.

Making use of Cyte-09 is a great way to chip away at the health of bosses but you will need to also make sure to watch your back and not miss too often.
