Warframe Hollvania Faceoff (Mission Objectives, Boosts & Penalties, Rewards)

Faceoff is the first PvPvE game mode that was added when the Warframe 1999 update was released, which puts players against other Tenno in a friendly competition.

Initially sought out to be a competition that determines who will end up cooking pizza amongst The Hex, this now involves the Tenno to help determine the winner.

Two teams will race to complete their objectives before their opponents while making use of the boosts and penalties features of the game mode.

Faceoff Mechanics

The Faceoff Mission comes in 2 different variants, which are the Lower Vehrvod (Single Squad) and Vehrvod District (Squad Vs Squad) which may be chosen from the NavNow.

Single Squad will pit you and your squad against AI Tenno while Squad Vs Squad will have you facing off against a squad of other players.

Once the mission begins, you will need to interact with a phone booth nearby to call in, which starts the match.

Random objectives will be given and throughout the mission, you will need to complete 3 of them and do this before the opposing team wins.

During the match, there will be blue and red pickups that will either provide you with a boost (blue pickup) or send a penalty to your enemies. (Red pickup)

Upon completion of the last objective, the team who finished first will be determined the winner and you may head to extraction afterward to finish the mission.

Faceoff Mission Objectives

  • Exterminate – Kill a specific number of enemies.
  • Data Burn – Power a CD burner for 2 minutes and 30 seconds by supplying it with Generator Gas that drops from enemies.
  • Techrot Scan – Protect Techrot Scanner for 2 minutes and 30 seconds while also destroying Signal Jammers to reduce timer by 15 seconds.
  • Pirate Radio – Protect Mobile Voice Pirate Radio as it heads to its destination while destroying Signal Jammers to boost its speed.
  • Lockbox – Locate 5 keys from marked areas to open a lockbox.
  • Assassination – Kill three Techrot Babau’s.

Faceoff Restrictions

During a Faceoff match, players will have certain restrictions that are applied to enable fair play between both teams.

This limits Team Bonus Consumables by adding a 3-minute cooldown and the use of deployable allies and Air Support charges is disabled.

Xtra Cheese

Added in the Techrot Encore Update, Xtra Cheese will periodically reward 2x Vosfor and 2x Conclave Standing in Faceoff: Squad Vs Squad.

This can be seen when viewing the NavNow screen of the POM-2 PC, allowing you to check when this bonus is active and for how long it will last.

Techrot Encore Update Changes

The Techrot Encore Update introduced a few more changes, which include better come-backs to reduce the defeating experience in this game mode.

The spawn chance of Boosts and Hindrances will now depend on the state of the match to serve as both a way of escalating the mission and helping players catch up.

This provides the losing team with more Boosts/Hindrances compared to the winning to give each group a chance of getting a come-back.

Verdict

Single Squad is a quick way to easily get Vosfor as winning is guaranteed most of the time due to your opponent being an AI Tenno.

Playing in Squad Vs Squad can be fun but having a good build to complete your objective quickly is vital for winning the match.

Playing on Steel Path mode will allow you to obtain more Vosfor, which can later be traded to Loid at the Sanctum Anatomica for Arcanes.
