The Hollvania Assassination Mission was added in the Warframe 1999 update and starting this mission puts you up against the H-09 Efervon Tank.
Similar to the H-04 Efervon Tank that Arthur Faced during The Hex quest, this tank requires certain steps to be destroyed but there is a twist to the fight as it is infected by the Techrot.
Throughout the mission, you will need to fight your way past barricades and reach the H-09 Efervon Tank to destroy it before it is used to wreak havoc in Hollvania.
Hollvania Assassination Mechanics
Phase 1 – Locating The H-09 Tank
Starting the mission will have you headed for the first barricade, which you can reach by following the waypoint and once you arrive, you need to kill enemies.
After killing a few enemies, some of them are bound to drop Emergency Transponders, which you will need to pick up and bring to a nearby terminal.
Interacting with the terminal will allow you to hack it, which requires you to complete a mini-game similar to the popular “Snake” game.
A successful hack attempt will result in the Stormfall Squad being deployed nearby and you will need to kill the marked enemies to get a Thermian RPG to drop.
The Thermian RPG is the only thing that can damage the Ferrite Barricades and you will need to use it to reach the next area by destroying the barricade.
It will take 3 shots to destroy the first barricade and afterward, there will be another barricade and you will have to repeat this process. (Each Thermian RPG has 3 shots)
The second barricade will require 5 shots, meaning you will have to do all the above steps twice before making your way to the boss.
Phase 2 – Fighting H-09 Efervon Tank
Make your way to the boss area after destroying the second barricade and you will come face to face with the H-09 Efervon Tank, which you need to destroy.
There will be 8 vents on the tank that glow and are easy to spot (most likely they are filled with Efervon) that you will need to destroy.
Destroying 6 vents will make the tank vulnerable to your attacks, which also causes Stormfall Squads to drop.
Instead of resorting to your normal weapons, you can use the Thermian RPGs that drop from some of the Stormfall Squad members and attack the tank with them.
After half of the tank’s health has been depleted, you will need to repeat the process to damage the remaining half and interact with the tank once its health is low to destroy it. (Phase 2 starts here)
Phase 3 Fighting Techrot Variant H-09 Tank
After partially destroying the tank, it reveals itself to be corrupted by the Techrot, which causes it to sprout tentacles and morph. (This makes it faster and deadlier)
The Efervon Tank will now have 3 health bars that you will need to destroy during this phase, which requires a few steps to maximize the amount of damage you deal.
Normal attacks will barely deal any damage and this requires that you damage the Techrot Proboscis that will appear on random parts of the tank.
Each proboscis destroyed will take out a chunk of the tank’s health and after a whole health bar has been depleted, the tank will attempt to heal.
A green bar will indicate that the H-09 Efervon Tank is healing and to prevent its health from being restored, you will need to kill the Techrot enemies that approach it.
Once the healing period is over (represented by the green bar), you will be able to damage the tank once more.
The H-09 Efervon Tank will attempt to heal twice before it can be destroyed, which allows you to damage it without any more healing done afterward.
After depleting the last bar of health, the tank will be destroyed and you may collect the reward cache that it drops on the ground before extracting from the mission.
Hollvania Assassination Rewards
Collecting the cache that is dropped by the H-09 Efervon Tank will provide you with an Arcane randomly selected from the ones that were introduced in the Warframe 1999 update.
Additionally, completion of the Assassination Mission has the chance to provide you with various rewards from the drop table below:
Rewards | Chance |
| 10,000 Credits Cache | Uncommon (28.57%) |
| 900 Endo | Uncommon (21.43%) |
| Meso F5 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
| Meso T7 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
| Meso E6 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
| Meso N17 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
| Meso A7 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
| Meso V10 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
| Meso G8 Relic | Rare (7.14%) |
H-09 Apex (Steel Path)
When doing the Steel Path variation of this mission, you have the option to cause the H-09 Apex to appear, which is a stronger version of the H-09 Efervon Tank.
This can be done by hacking secret terminals that have red bulbs above them and these are hidden near the barricades.
You will need to obtain Emergency Transponders to hack them, which also involves playing the “Snake” mini-game.
After two of these have been hacked (1 near each barricade), the boss that spawns at the end will be the H-09 Apex instead of the normal boss. (This can only be done in Steel Path)
Defeating the H-09 Apex will provide you with similar rewards to the normal version of this mission with the addition of the following:
- Steel Essence
- H-09 Apex Turret Sumdali
- Hex Accolade Glyphs (Depending if they used Excalibur, Mag, Volt, Cyte-09, Trinity or Nyx)
Verdict
The H-09 Efervon Tank can be deadly in both phases, making it necessary to use a sturdy Warframe or one that can avoid or block damage.
Using your weapons against the tank is almost pointless as this will take up a lot of time and instead, it is best to use the Thermian RPGs to damage it.
During the second phase, it is important to target the glowing proboscis that appears on the tank to deal significant damage and quickly destroy it.
