How to Make Copper Bars in Stardew Valley

Copper Bar Stardew Valley

 “A bar of pure Copper.”

If you have gotten your hands on some Copper Ore by now and are wondering what all of it is used for, look no further because you just found the answer.

That’s right, Copper Ore is needed for smelting, which can later turn the resource into a Copper Bar that can be used later on.

While the process of mining Copper Ore and converting it into Copper Bars may seem like a tedious thing to do, it will all be worth it in the end.

Where to Get Copper Bars?

Copper Bars are mainly obtained by smelting, which can be done at your farm but there are still other ways for you to get this resource.

There are certain enemies known as Shadow Shamans and Shadow Brutes that you can find within the mines, which have a chance to drop Copper Bars when defeated.

How to Make Copper Bars?

To make Copper Bars, you will first need to get your hands on a bunch of Copper Ore, which later is needed along with Coal to be smelted.

You will need to have at least one Furnace at your farm to start converting 5 Copper Ore into a single Copper Bar.

Each time you smelt Copper Ore into a Copper Bar, you will need 1 Charcoal and if you want to make a lot simultaneously, more Furnaces will be important.

Let see below the process making Copper Bars in detail:

1) Crafting a Furnace to Make Copper Bars

Whether you buy your Copper Ore and find it yourself, you’ll need to make a Furnace to smelt the copper into usable bars.

Copper bars have a lot of craftable recipes associated with them and are needed to upgrade your tools to copper tools, which increases their efficiency.

Smelting Copper ore in Furnace takes 30 in-game minutes and requires you to put 5 Copper Ores accompanied by 1 coal into the Furnace.

2) Defeating Shadow Brute

Verdict

Copper Bar is easy to make as the Copper Bar recipe requires 5 Copper Ore and 1 Coal, which can both be obtained by mining.

The Copper Bar is important for beginners in Stardew Valley because this is where you start crafting what you will need on your farm.

After the process of making this resource, there is no way to switch Copper Bar back to Copper Ore and you will have to obtain more instead.
