How To Get Season 1 Aspects in Diablo 4

With the introduction of Season of the Malignant, players were stoked to test out 7 new aspects that were to be brought into Diablo 4.

In addition to this, 15 Legendary Aspects from the game become available during the season that can be temporarily unlocked.

Each of these Aspects can be used by certain characters and some are general ones that can be used by all to alter their builds during the Season of the Malignant.

Season of the Malignant New Aspects

New Legendary Aspects

When Season of the Malignant first began, players were made aware of these aspects that were to be obtainable from Legendary Gear.

You may however obtain these also by completing chapters in the Season Journey to unlock the ability to use them for the remainder of the season.

1) Audacity (General Utility Aspect)

Provides any character with the ability to passively stun Close enemies when there are 5 or more of them near you. (Cooldown: 20 seconds)

2) Craven (General Characters Mobility Aspect)

When moving away from enemies that are Slowed or Chilled, you will gain a 20-40% increase in movement speed for a short duration.

3) Ancestral Charge (Barbarian Offensive Aspect)

Using the Charge ability causes 4 Ancients to charge alongside you, which deals 50-100% of the normal damage the skill does.

4) Pestilent Points (Rogue Offensive Aspect)

For every third cast of the Rogue’s Puncture Skill, the attack will become Poison Imbued and will deal around 100-150% of its normal potency.

5) Searing Wards (Sorcerer Defensive Aspect)

Whenever 100-200 Mana is consumed, the next firewall that is cast by a Sorcerer will be free, which also causes it to destroy any incoming Small Missiles.

6) Gore Quills (Necromancer Offensive Aspect)

When using Blood Lance, nearby Blood Orbs will also be consumed, causing them to conure lances from their location to deal 20-50% of the normal damage, prioritizing un-lanced enemies.

7) Subterranean (Druid Offensive Aspect)

When using Poison Creeper’s active, this will also cast Landslide in a circle around your character, which causes your Earth Skills to deal 10-20% additional damage to Poisoned Enemies.

Other Season of the Malignant Aspects

Aside from the new Aspects, the following Aspects become available in your codex for a limited amount of time during Season of the Malignant.

These will be unavailable after the Season of the Malignant and will have to be obtained through extraction.

1) Umbrous Aspect (Rogue Defensive Aspect)

The Rogue’s Critical Strikes with Marksman Skills have a 40%-60% chance to grant them with a free Dark Shroud shadow.

2) Bold Chieftain’s Aspect (Barbarian Defensive Aspect)

Whenever a Barbarian casts a Shout Skill, its cooldown will be reduced by 1% – 1.9% per enemy, which is capped at a maximum of 6 seconds.

3) Aspect of Frozen Orbit (Sorcerer Offensive Aspect)

Frozen Orb will now stay in place after reaching its destination and will 2 additional times for 20%-30% of its damage.

4) Lightning Dancer’s Aspect (Druid Offensive Aspect)

The Druid’s Lightning Storm Critical Strikes will spawn 3 Dancing Bolts that seek enemies in the area dealing a certain amount of Lightning Damage.

5) Dire Wolf’s Aspect (Druid Offensive Aspect)

Using Grizzly Rage now shapeshifts the Druid into a Dire Werewolf, which provides you with 15%-25% Movement Speed with a 30%-50% Spirit Cost reduction bonus.

This also causes kills while the Skill is active to deal you for 10% of your Maximum Life.

6) Earthquake Aspect (Barbarian Offensive Aspect)

When you cast Ground Stomp, an Earthquake is created that damages enemies for a certain amount of Physical Damage over 4 seconds. Standing in the Earthquakes provides you with 5%-15% increased damage.

7) Aspect of Encroaching Wrath (Barbarian Offensive Aspect)

After you have spent 100 Fury, the next Weapon Mastery Skill that you cast will deal a certain amount of increased damage.

8) Shockwave Aspect (Druid Offensive Aspect)

After you have spent 100 Fury, the next Weapon Mastery Skill that you cast will deal a certain amount of increased damage.

9) Aspect of Exposed Flesh (Necromancer Resource Aspect)

You gain up to a 10% chance to generate 30-50 Essence when hitting a Vulnerable enemy with Necromancer Bone Skills.

10) Coldbringer’s Aspect (Necromancer Utility Aspect)

Your Cold Skeletal Mages will cast a blizzard every 8 seconds that deals a certain amount of Cold Damage and continuously Chills enemies for 8% over 6 seconds.

11) Gravitational Aspect (Sorceress Offensive Aspect)

Ball Lightning will orbit around you, but this will decrease the amount of damage it deals by 10%-20%.

12) Aspect of the Unbroken Tether (Sorceress Offensive Aspect)

When casting Chain Lightning, it will have a 30%-40% chance to chain 2 additional times.

13) Aspect of Surprise (Rogue Offensive Aspect)

Performing an Evade or Shadow Step, a cluster of exploding Stun Grenades is left in your wake, dealing a certain amount of Physical damage while also stunning enemies for 0.5 seconds.

14) Aspect of Imitated Imbuement (Rogue Offensive Aspect)

Shadow Clones will mimic the Imbuements applied to your skills and casting an Imbuement Skill will increase their damage by 8%-16% for 9 seconds.

15) Aspect of Decay (Necromancer Offensive Aspect)

Whenever the Shadowblight Key Passive deals damage to enemies, it increases the next Shadowblight’s damage within 10 seconds by 20%-40%, which stacks up to 5 times.

Expires End of Season

The Aspects mentioned above are said to expire at the end of the season, which means that these will no longer be available in your codex.

Once the season ends, you can still obtain these Legendary Aspects through extraction at the Occultist by sacrificing a Legendary Item.

It is best to get the Legendary Aspects you want as early as possible so that they can be used later once they are unavailable from the Codex of Power.

Verdict

The addition of the 7 Legendary Aspects to the game provides players with several new ways to alter their builds to slay enemies.

Thanks to the Season of the Malignant, you can easily unlock additional Legendary Aspects that were previously only available from extraction.

Completing the Season Journey chapters is a quick way to get all the Aspects that you need and should be a priority so you can make use of them as soon as possible.
