The Exo Stranger has arrived and is offering a Splinter of Darkness to you which you will need to experience and Attune power for it.
You will need to take the Splinter of Darkness and use it to master the Stasis power by taking it to the monolithic Ziggurat in Europa.
Once you have Attuned the Splinter of Darkness, you will be able to get a taste of the power of Stasis and see how it truly works.
Quest Objectives
Attune The Splinter of Darkness in the Ziggurat in Beyond
The location of the Ziggurat will not be far and you will need to head over to its location after receiving the quest from the Exo Stranger.
It will be faster to travel on your vehicle to save time as there is quite some distance from where you and the Exo are heading to the Ziggurat.
Interact with the Ziggurat once you arrive to prepare the Splinter of Darkness for attunement, which will be done later on at Nexus.
After interacting with the Ziggurat, you will need to find the location of a Crux of Darkness to Attune the Splinter of Darkness.
Commune With a Crux of Darkness in Nexus
Head back to Charon’s Crossing by fast traveling or riding your vehicle and make your way towards Nexus which is marked by a waypoint.
Approach the Crux of Darkness and interact with it, causing you to surge with Stasis power and have a seemingly infinite supply of it.
Start killing as many enemies as you can until the area is clear and afterward you may interact with the Crux of Darkness to complete the communion.
Secure Locked Nearby Chest in Nexus
Follow the waypoint leading to the locked chest which is initially blocked by a barrier that you can interact with (it will be brought down as you are charged with Stasis) to take down.
Speak With Variks
Once you have looted the chest, head back and speak to Variks, who will share some negative comments about your newfound power.
After speaking with Variks, the quest will be complete and you will be able to proceed with other progression tasks.
Tips
- This is an introduction to the power you can use with the new Stasis class in Destiny 2, available with the Beyond Light DLC.
- You will need to defeat all the enemies in Nexus before you can end the communion and progress further.
- It is okay if you die during the attuning of the Splinter of Darkness as respawning is not restricted.
Summary
You have acquired the Splinter of Darkness from The Exo Stranger and have attuned it, unlocking its powers for you to use.
While Variks does not have any liking for this newfound power, he still suggests you take your new power and use it against Phylaks.
With this new power, you may be able to foil Eramis’s plans and put a stop to future catastrophic events, saving the Eliksni in the process.
