Destiny 2 Season of the Wish Artifact Mods & Perks

With every season, you get to grab a Seasonal Artifact that will be part of the story of the season as well as a major benefit as you progress.

One of the benefits that come from the Seasonal Artifact is the Artifact Perks or what others still refer to as Artifact Mods.

These provide bonuses to players and are essential in Seasonal Activities and Ritual Activities since they allow you to adapt to a better playstyle or take out tougher enemies.

How Are Artifact Mods Unlocked?

Artifact Mods start with the first tier and the tiers after the first will be available once you have unlocked enough from it.

This will continue for every tier until the last one is unlocked, which means the more Artifact Mods you unlock, the more that will become available.

To unlock them, you will need to gain XP, and this will level up the Seasonal Artifact, providing you with more points.

Season of the Wish Artifact Mods

The following are the Artifact Mods that can be unlocked during the Season of the Wish to grant benefits to your Guardian.

  • Overload Auto Rifle – Continuous fire from Auto Rifles disrupts combatants, stunning them and reducing their energy regeneration and damage output. (Strong against Overloaded Champions)
  • Overload Pulse Rifle – Continuous shots that hit enemies with a Pulse Rifle disrupt combatants, which stuns them and reduces their energy regeneration and damage. (Strong against Overload Champions)

Tier 2

  • Torch – While affected by Radiant, you deal increased weapon damage to combatants affected by Strand and Stasis debuffs.

  • Overload Rocket Launchers – Rocket Launchers are more affected against Overload Champions.
  • Dragon’s Bite – Enemies may be frozen when you break their shield with a Strand or Stasis weapon.

Tier 5

  • Horde Shuttle – A treadling will occasionally be spawned when you damage unraveled targets with a weapon.
  • Hail the Storm – Shattering an encased enemy or Stasis Crystals will deal increased damage.
  • Rays of Precision – Solar precision final blows ignite combatants when you are affected by Radiant.
  • Solo Operative – If you are playing without a fireteam or are the only one left, you deal increased damage to all combatants.
  • Argent Ordnance – Firing a Rocket Launcher will consume a stack of Armor Charge but grants increased damage and reload speed until you reload or stow the weapon.

How To Reset Artifact Mods?

If you wish to remove the Artifact Mods that you have unlocked to gain points and start over, this can be done by selecting the “Reset Artifact” option.

This will reset all the points that you have put in and return them, allowing you to rechoose which Artifact Mods you want to unlock again.

Verdict

While the Artifact Mods are often tied to certain weapons every season, you will often be able to adjust your build thanks to the many bonuses that can be unlocked.

It is best to match the ones you choose to the weapons you plan on using as these will not work unless your weapon matches them.

Not all Artifact Mods affect weapons though, some provide other bonuses that can go well with different Guardian builds based on what subclass you use.
