With the arrival of Season of Plunder, a new artifact with unique traits was introduced to players which are known as the Skeleton Key.

As players start during Season of Plunder, this artifact is found as the Guardian assists in recovering Spider who was precious cargo at the time.

Thankful for the Guardian’s help, Spider allowed them to continue using his ship known as a Ketch and let them keep and use the Skeleton Key to open doors their enemies would close.

Season of Plunder Artifact Mods

Leveling up the Season of Plunder artifact will provide you with a point each time that you can use to unlock one of its available mods.

Placing a point will allow you to craft the mod and equip it into a specific piece of gear, granting you passives to choose from for your gear.

The following are the tiers and mods of the Season of Plunder artifact.

Tier 1 Mods

  • Overload Bow (Arms) – Damage by fully drawn arrows disrupts combatants, stunning them, delaying ability energy regeneration and lowering combatant damage output. Strong against Overload Champions.
  • Unstoppable Pulse Rifle (Arms) – Aiming down Pulse Rifle sights loads a high-impact burst that stuns unshielded combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.
  • Anti-Barrier Scout Rifle (Arms) – Scout Rifles you are wielding fire shield-piercing rounds and stun Barrier Champions. Scout Rifles deal bonus damage against Barrier Champions.
  • Anti-Barrier Auto Rifle (Arms) – Auto Rifles you are wielding fire shield-piercing rounds and stun Barrier Champions. Auto Rifles deal bonus damage against Barrier Champions.
  • Unstoppable Shotgun (Arms) – Shotguns you wield fire a powerful explosive payload that stuns unshielded combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.

Tier 2 Mods

  • Scout Rifle Loader (Arms) – Increases reload speed of Scout Rifles.
  • Sword Scavenger (Leg) – Swords get larger bonus reserves when you pick up ammo.
  • Machine Gun Holster (Leg) – Gradually reloads your stowed Machine Guns over time. Multiple copies of this perk stack to reduce the time taken to fully reload.
  • Scout and Sniper Rifle Targeting (Helmet) – Improves targeting for Scout Rifles and Sniper Rifles.
  • Bottomless Bounty I (Helmet) – Improves the effect of the Right Hook and Runneth Over weapon Origin perks.

Tier 3 Mods

  • Glaive Loader (Arms) – Increases reload speed of Glaives.
  • Focusing Strike (Arms) – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a melee attack.
  • Thermoshock Plating (Chest) – Reduces incoming Solar and Arc damage from combatants.
  • Machine Gun Scavenger (Leg) – Machine Guns get bonus reserves when you pick up ammo.
  • Bottomless Bounty II (Helmet) – Improves the effect of the Soul Drinker and Hot Swap weapon Origin perks.

Tier 4 Mods

  • Overload Machine Guns (Arms) – Uninterrupted fire from your equipped Machine Guns grants bullets that stun combatants, delaying ability energy regeneration and lowering combatant damage output. Strong against Overload Champions.
  • Anti-Barrier Sniper Rifle (Arms) – Sniper Rifles you are wielding fire shield-piercing rounds and stun Barrier Champions. Sniper Rifles deal bonus damage against Barrier Champions.
  • Bad Amplitude (Class Item) – Damaging a Champion with an Arc ability causes the Champion to become Jolted.
  • Surge Detonators (Class Item) – Arc grenades disrupt combatants, stunning them, delaying ability regeneration, and lowering combatant damage output. Strong against Overload Champions.
  • Inferno Whip (Helmet) – Solar melee abilities stun unshielded combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.

Tier 5 Mods

  • Thunderous Retort (Class Item) Grants bonus Arc Super damage if cast while critically wounded or while amplified. Lasts until the end of the Super activation.
  • Amped Up (Class Item) – Stay amplified longer.
  • Trace Evidence (Class Item) – Defeating combatants affected by Arc debuffs spawn an Ionic Trace.
  • Lightning Strikes Twice (Class Item) – After throwing an Arc grenade, gain increased grenade recharge for a short time. Arc final blows extend the duration of this benefit.
  • Sundering Glare (Class Item) – Rapid precision hits against distant combatants weaken them for a short duration.
