The presence of The Nine can be found all around Kepler, and it seems that there are vestiges that can be found in certain areas.
Lodi has tasked you with finding these glyph-like vestiges in hopes that something can be learned from them that connects to your arrival on Kepler.
You will need to search the different regions on Kepler and search for each vestige of The Nine to see what can be discovered from them.
How To Get Orientation Quest?
The “Orientation” quest becomes available after you have completed Quest Step 22 of The Edge of Fate, which will make it appear on your map.
After the completion of The Gorge Strangelet quest, you should be able to complete the Orientation quest on your map once you have completed “The Gorge Strangelet” quest.
This makes it better to finish the Strangelet Quest before attempting this mission to avoid being blocked off by a barrier.
Orientation Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Seek out vestiges of The Nine’s presence across Kepler
After interacting with the terminal to begin the “Orientation” quest, you will need to head outside and follow the waypoints to both vestiges.
These will be the vestiges for I and II, which can be found in The Stacks (Outer Steppes) and will require you to use certain abilities to reach them.

Step 2: Locate a second group of symbols of The Nine
Another group of vestiges needs to be found, and this time they will be tied to the other members of The Nine, which can be found in a similar way within the Assimilated Easement.
Head to each location that is marked and utilize your Kepler Abilities to reach and interact with each of the symbols that you find.

Step 3: Locate a third group of symbols of The Nine
After finding the previous batch of vestiges, you will need to find the third group, which consists of two vestiges that are split up.
One of the vestiges will be in the Curtilage Divide, while the other can be found in Augur’s Bethel.

Step 4: Locate a fourth group of symbols of The Nine
While the goal is to find a fourth group of the symbols, there is only one more left to be found, which is the vestige of IV, and this can be found in the Aionian Campus.
Fast-traveling to the Aionian Campus will save you a lot of time, and within a few minutes, you should be able to reach the last vestige.

Step 5: Bind your connections with The Nine to the Orrery
After you have obtained all of the vestiges, make your way back to the Orrery (the terminal you used to start the quest) and interact with it. (This ends the quest)

Verdict
What turned out to be a search for knowledge and understanding ended up being an orientation to show Lodi what his purpose will now be.
While Orin had previously escaped a similar fate, she does not want Lodi to be a puppet to The Nine, but Lodi insists anyway, as he simply wants to help and do his part.
Among the 8 vestiges that you found, it seems that the only one missing was the vestige of III, and there is a logical reason for their absence, which is yet to be revealed.
