Lodi has discovered time scars and is curious about them, which eventually leads to him asking for your help with investigating them.
Upon scanning the time scar in the area, Ghost detects that the nearby ship is semi-functional and needs some work if it were ever to work again.
Lodi mentions that he always dreamed of flying something like the ship that has been found, and if there is a chance for it to become functional again, he would like to try.
How To Get The Man Out of Time Quest?
The Man Out of Time becomes available after the completion of The Outer Steppes Strangelet quest, which is part of The Edge of Fate campaign.
Heading to The Stacks on Kepler and interacting with the time scar in the area will begin this quest.
The Man Out of Time Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Investigate the time scars Lodi has located
Lodi has found 2 time scars and would like you to investigate them, which will have you travelling to two regions in Kepler.
You will be able to locate these time scars in the Aionian Campus and Curtilage Divide by following the waypoints or heading to the locations marked on your map.
Step 2: Investigate the next time scar Lodi has been located
Another time scar has been discovered, and Lodi would like you to investigate this one as well to see what can be learned from it. (Head to the location and interact with the time scar)
Step 3: Investigate the final time scar
Lodi wants you to investigate one more scar before he concludes everything about the ship and what he had planned.
Head to the location of the time scar and interact with it, which will eventually cause Lodi to show up and talk about the investigation before the quest ends.
The Man Out of Time Quest Rewards
Once you finish your conversation with Lodi, The Man Out of Time quest will conclude, and you will be rewarded with the following:

- Fated Cipher
Verdict
Lodi has been quite confused since his arrival, especially since he has no idea how he got to Kepler in the first place, and there are several questions on his mind.
Not all of Lodi’s questions have been answered, but since there is more to do, this gives him something to continue with instead of fixating on what he cannot learn.
The time scars may have revealed a bit, but it has finally been concluded that whatever brought him to Kepler cannot bring him back anytime soon or at all.
