A strange signal has been detected, and it leads to a piece of seemingly destroyed Vex technology, but what is strange is that it appears to be different from other Vex.
Upon interacting with the Vex head, it seems to be asking for assistance, but the other Vex appear to want it destroyed, and you are obliged to assist it.
The Vex head, which reveals itself later to be called Sharp Cheddar, is different, and the possibility of living a new life may be in its future if you can help it out.
How To Get Turophile Quest?
Upon the completion of The Outer Steppes Strangelet, this quest will be available, but you need to interact with the Vex Head to start it.
Reaching the Vex Head may require a bit of puzzle solving, as you will need to enter the small structure where it is locked.
This can be done by using a Relocator to get inside by adjusting the nearby array near the cliff to point to the left to shoot through the structure, and another at the side to redirect upwards.
Turophile Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Destroy the Vex hunting after a strange signal
After interacting with the Vex Head, more Vex will appear and will begin to ambush you within the small structure where you found it.
You will need to defeat all of the Vex that appear to prevent them from destroying the Vex Head that you have recently found.
Step 2: Examine the remaining wreckage of Vex
After defeating the Vex that ambushed you, head over to the Vex Head and interact with it to pick it up, which will reveal more about the port.
Step 3: Search the area for clues about its provenance
There is more to learn about the Vex that you found, and it seems to be different from the ones that have ambushed you.
Head over to the location marked by the waypoint, and there will be a strange signal, which turns out to be a decoy planted by the Vex Head, later revealed to be called Sharp Cheddar.
Step 4: Defeat the Vex
The Vex will arrive once more and attempt to ambush you again to take Sharp Cheddar, but after defeating them, they will be thrown off its signal thanks to the decoy.
To make sure that Sharp Cheddar is not tracked down again, you will need to defeat this batch of Vex that attempt the ambush.
Step 5: Return to Dean Rebecca
Now that Sharp Cheddar is safe, it is time for it to be relocated, and this requires you to bring it to Dean Rebecca, who will be at Caldera.
Make your way to Caldera and speak with Dean Rebecca, and shortly after your conversation, the quest will be complete.
Turophile Quest Rewards
After speaking with Dean Rebecca to deliver Sharp Cheddar to her, the quest will be complete, and you will receive the following:
- Legendary Gear
- Fated Cipher
Verdict
It seems like not everything on Kepler is as it seems, and this certain Vex Head that you found turned out to be one that had a mind of its own.
With a knack for escape and the urge to start over, this Vex is now safely in the hands of Dean Rebecca and the Aionians.
This has provided Sharp Cheddar with the possibility of a new start, and it shows that there may have been others, but unfortunately, the Vex attempt to destroy those similar to the one you just saved.
