Mysterious chess pieces have been found in the Curtilage Divide, and these may have a relation to the history of the Aionians, whom you have recently discovered.
After finding your first piece, the Drifter believes that their presence in Kepler may be a message from The Nine, but what they are trying to say may be unclear.
To check things further, you will want to bring this to one of the Aionian Researchers and see what they know about this piece and any others that you may also find.
How To Get Correspondence Quest?
The “Correspondence” quest is one of the quests that becomes available after you have progressed with The Edge of Fate campaign.
You will be able to start this quest after completing the following quests from The Edge of Fate:
Interacting with the chess piece found in the Curtilage Divide will begin this quest.
Correspondence Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Locate Aionian Historian
After starting the quest, you will need to make your way to Malthas, an Aionian Historian who is just a small distance away from where you currently are.
Step 2: Find another chess piece
The Aionian Historian has asked you to find more chest pieces, and you can find one by following the quest marker that will point you to the next one.
Step 3: Return the chess piece
After obtaining this chess piece, its significance is still unclear, and you will need to bring it back to Malthas to see what he knows about it.
Step 4: Collect more chest pieces
You have been sent to collect more chest pieces, and by exploring the area and following the markers on your radar, you will be able to find them.
There are a total of 9 more chess pieces that need to be found in the area, and these can easily be found by paying attention to your radar and the markers that appear when you are nearby.
Step 5: Return the completed collection to Dean Rebecca
Now that all of the chess pieces have been found, make your way back to Caldera and speak with Dean Rebecca, and this will conclude the quest.
Correspondence Quest Rewards
Once all of the pieces have been collected and you have returned them to Dean Rebecca, the quest will be complete, and the following will be rewarded to you:
