It appears that something is wrong with Lodi’s voice channel as it is being overloaded with a strange interference while his signal is pinging your comms.
Lodi is in disarray as the interference is causing issues, especially what he believes to be hallucinations, and this is a concern that should be addressed as soon as possible.
You will need to search for a location that has a better signal before you can properly contact him and find out what has happened to see what can be done.
How To Get Vessel of The Nine Quest?
You may begin Vessel of The Nine quest once you have completed the first two Strangelet Quests that are available in The Edge of Fate campaign.

This quest is added once you speak to interact with Lodi’s Journal when it is available.
Vessel of The Nine Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Search for a spot with a clearer signal and contact Lodi
Once you have started this quest, make your way to the Aionian Campus and head to the location marked to begin your connection with Lodi.
Step 2: Search for a signature that might indicate Lodi’s presence by inspecting the House of Exile corpses
After getting in touch with Lodi, you will need to investigate the area, and if you head to the marked area, searching behind the structure will reveal some House of Exile corpses.
Approach the corpses and interact with them, which will reveal that there is Dark Matter Energy, and during a call with Lodi, he mentions that he is starting to feel weird.
Step 3: Search the area for anything of relevance to Lodi’s strange experience
Continue pushing further towards the next waypoint and fight your way through the House of Exile until you reach more House of Exile corpses.
Interact with them just as you did with the previous batch before continuing to make your way to the next area to follow another waypoint.
Step 4: Find another slime to reach back to the Archon
It seems that whatever is causing the interference may cause an impact on Lodi if not handled right away, and you will need to search for the next source.
Head for the next waypoint and make your way under the bridge to find a larger group of corpses that will also need to be interacted with.
Step 5: Use the resonance of the energy point to attract the Archon’s attention
From where you previously were, you will need to make your way to the top of the turbine that appears to be hanging from a crane.
There will be an “eye” symbol on the platform just above the turbine, and you will need to make your way to the top and interact with it.
This can be done by heading to the side and jumping on top of the rocks before making a large glide or several jumps to reach it. (Quest ends after interacting with the symbol)
Vessel of The Nine Quest Rewards
The Vessel of The Nine quest will come to an end after you have interacted with the eye, and this will reward you with the following:
- Legendary Gear
- Fated Cipher
Verdict
It appears that Lodi seemed to have been possessed by an entity, but this does not seem to be the Archon, and instead, something more powerful.
Based on the nature of the being that spoke through Lodi, it seems that this may have been a member of The Nine, and changes have happened to him.
Lodi now feels different, and sooner or later, everything will be revealed, but as of now, he is thankful to be back to normal for the time being.
