After obtaining the final Strangelet Capsule, you return to the Assimilate Easement to speak with Orin, but something has happened.
The reactors powering the Aionian Campus are on the brink of a meltdown, which can destroy Kepler.
You will need to make your way to the reactors and find the cause of the problem before everything is obliterated.
How To Get Criticality Mission?
Criticality mission becomes available after you have spoken to Orin during Quest Step 24 of the Edge of Fate Seasonal Quest, leaving you to do it during Quest Step 25.
This all happens after you have previously completed The Gorge Strangelet quest, where you obtained the last Strangelet Capsule.
Criticality Mission Walkthrough
At the start of the mission, you will need to head to the Reactor, which begins with you picking up a Relocator and using it to get to a nearby pillar. (Adjust the array twice.)
Take the train portal and you will find a boss called Eulochus, Fissile Mind (Hydra), tampering with the reactor while other Choral Vex stand guard.
You will need to defeat the 3 Uplifted Choral Goblin nearby before heading to each Reactor Coolant Pump. (There will be three that you need to go to.)
Keep in mind that there will be a timer that goes down, which will fail as the timer is a countdown for the reactor’s meltdown.
Defeating enemies in this mission will cause them to drop Coolant, which will add 10 seconds to the time for each one that is picked up.
Reaching each reactor will provide you with similar tasks to restore them before you move on to the next.
Restoring a reactor will require that you destroy Disruptors, unlock a Rosetta Console, and restart a Reactor Coolant Pump.
Traversing through the map and reaching these objectives for each reactor will require the use of your Kepler Abilities, such as Matterspark, Relocator, Rosetta, and Mattermorph.
Once you have restarted all of the Coolant Pumps, you will be making your way back to the reactor to fight the Vex Hydra. (Eulochus, Fissile Mind)
Attacking the Vex Hydra can be done from the start of the fight, but once its health has been reduced to half, it will become immune to damage.
There will be 3 Disruptors that need to be destroyed, and they will be protected by barriers, which can be disabled by using Matterspark to weaken the Combatants guarding them.
Once all 3 Disruptors have been destroyed, you will be able to defeat the Vex Hydra, and this will complete the mission.
Criticality Mission Rewards
Upon defeating the Vex Hydra, a reward chest will appear, allowing you to collect rewards such as Enhancement Cores, Glimmer, Nine-Touched Relic Iron, and Legendary Gear.
Additionally, this will allow you to continue with The Edge of Fate quest since it is a requirement to complete Quest Step 25.
Verdict
Just after you obtained the final Strangelet Capsule, this interruption almost led everyone to a terrible end, but thankfully, you were there to solve the problem.
Now that the Vex Hydra is no longer sabotaging the reactor, it is time to make your way back to the Aionian Campus and integrate the Strangelet Capsule with the Altar of Relativity.
You are one step closer to finding all of the answers, and after all your hard efforts, it looks like you will be meeting with the members of The Nine.
