While making your way through Kepler, there are different areas that you will come across, and tied to certain locations are specific materials.
One of these materials is Nine-Touched Relic Iron, which is later used after you have progressed a bit with the season and its main campaign.
Nine-Touched Relic Iron is useful for obtaining certain items from the Altar of Relativity, as it is considered a currency on certain daily region rotations.

Nine-Touched Relic Iron can be found in the Outer Steppes, which includes The Stacks and the Outer Wastes just beyond it.
While you are exploring The Stacks and the Outer Wastes, there will be different ways for you to obtain Nine-Touched Relic Iron.
How To Get Nine-Touched Relic Iron?
1) Harvest Nine-Touched Relic Iron
As you explore The Stacks and the Outer Steppes, you will eventually come across what appear to be rock formations in these areas.
Approaching these rock formations will show the option to “Harvest Nine-Touched Relic Iron,” and this will allow you to collect the material.
Each node that you interact with will provide you with one Nine-Touched Relic Iron, and these will respawn later.
2) Defeating Major Combatants
Certain enemies may be defeated to get an abundance of resources, such as the House of Exile Heavy Patrol that can be found in The Stacks.
Defeating the Exile Heavy Patrol will cause it to drop a pickup that will provide you with 7 Nine-Touched Relic Iron.
3) Kepler Activities
Completing activities or missions that take place in the Outer Steppes (The Stacks and Outer Wastes) will often reward you with Nine-Touched Relic Iron.
The final mission that is done and that may be repeated, called “The Message,” provides one of each material from all locations upon completion.

Similar to the other materials that are found on Kepler, Nine-Touched Relic Irons can be used as a currency when exchanging at the Altar of Relativity.
