Tonics are a new feature added in Destiny 2 Episode Revenant, which allows you to brew certain Tonics with the use of Reagents at the Tonic Laboratory.
You initially have a few Tonics ready to be chosen but there are more that may be unlocked as you continue to collect Reagents and continue to brew more.
Different Tonics will have different effects, such as the Volatile Tonics providing you with buffs while the Enriching Tonics giving you a chance to obtain certain kinds of loot.
How To Unlock Tonic Recipes?
To unlock Tonic Recipes, you will need to craft the available Tonics that you have as doing this a certain amount of times will unlock the next Tier.
An example would be crafting an Uncommon Tonic 5 times, which would unlock its Rare Tier and crafting this 4 times would unlock its Legendary Tier.
This also allows you to progress with Eido’s Fieldwork, which requires you to unlock more Tonics before being able to acquire Fieldwork Quests to complete.
