Your search for Maya Sundaresh and an attempt to put a stop to her has led you to find another specimen that Failsafe is interested in.
This may be a bit different from the other experiments that you have found and will also be useful once Failsafe is done with it.
Although completing this quest will unlock new technology from Failsafe, getting your hands on the specimen and completing the quest may reward a good amount of effort.
How To Get Specimen ID: NES007 Quest?
Specimen NES007 is what appears to be the remains of an Exo, which you can find during the Encore Exotic Mission.
You will find this in the lab that you go through before you fight the boss at the end, who goes by the name Parodos, Choral Mind.
Specimen ID: NES007 Quest Steps
Step 1: Defeat Vex with Solar damage to weaken their armor plating and expose more memory cores
This quest step requires that you hunt down the Vex but you will need to use Solar damage when you defeat them. (Weapons and abilities count)
You can easily complete this during seasonal activities or grind Lost Sectors that have a lot of Vex enemies spawning in them.

Step 2: Secure the data Failsafe needs by completing activities or collecting Extracted Data in Breach Executable
There are two objectives that you may complete in this quest step and this includes obtaining Extracted Data and defeating Vex Bosses.
One of the fastest ways to complete this would be to do a Breach Executable as you can complete this quest step with a single run.

- Defeat Vex Bosses (Reach 100% progress)
Step 3: Rapidly defeat Vex to acquire a large sampling of their CPUs
Targeting the Vex once more, you will need to defeat them in quick succession, which can be done with both weapon and ability damage.
Running activities where several Vex spawn is ideal and will make it easier to complete this quest step, which requires that you defeat a lot of Vex in a short amount of time.

Step 4: Speak with Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. to review her final specimen analysis report
Now that you have provided Failsafe with everything that she needs, it is time to head back to the H.E.L.M. and speak to her

Step 5: Travel to the H.E.L.M. and place the Exo Prototype in your specimen collection
Thanks to Failsafe, you have another specimen that can now be placed in your collection on the H.E.L.M.
Head over to your specimen collection and interact with the marked spot to place the Exo Prototype to complete the quest.

Specimen ID: NES007 Quest Rewards
After speaking to Failsafe and placing the Exo Prototype #314 specimen, the quest will be complete and you will be able to progress with A Rising Chorus: Act III.
Obtaining the Exo Prototype #314 specimen in quest step 4 will unlock the Conductor’s Imprint Codes Research Instrument.
Once you have obtained the Conductor’s Imprint Codes, you will be able to unlock a new Hub found in the Encore Exotic Mission.
Summary
The road to stopping Maya Sundaresh, also known as The Conductor is quite long but with every time you assist Failsafe, things get much easier.
While Failsafe was not too comfortable digging through the Exo Specimen that you brought her, she was still able to provide you with new technology.
There are of course more specimens to be found and once you continue to help Failsafe with more of them, you will be able to unlock even more technology.
