Temple Abilities
Passive
A Backbeat Metronome will be visible under your crosshair, which provides you with improved ability effects along with 50% increased Ability Efficiency.
Whenever the dial of the Backbeat Metronome is within the space in the center, timing your abilities right will cause the improved effects to trigger.
1) Pyrotechnics
Temple shreds on his guitar, which causes pillars to spawn in front of him where enemies are standing, which deals Heat Damage.
Backbeat Timing: Causes more pillars to be ignited and increases the duration and Heat Damage of Ripper’s Wail when it deals damage.
Stats (Max Rank) | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 25 | Ability Efficiency |
| Damage | 1,000 (Heat) | Ability Strength |
Range | 25 Meters | Ability Range |
| Radius | 20 Meters | N/A |
Max Pillars | 5 | Ability Strength |
| Pyrotechnics Bonus | 2x | N/A |
Ripper’s Wail Bonus | 5 Seconds | Ability Duration |
2) Overdrive

Stats (Max Rank) | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 25 Energy | Energy Efficiency |
| Damage | 750 (Heat) | Ability Strength |
Range | 20 Meters | Ability Range |
| Duration | 20 Seconds | Ability Duration |

Temple plays his guitar, which results in him becoming invulnerable while also healing himself before granting his allies bonus Heat Damage.
After playing his guitar, Temple’s allies within Affinity Range will gain bonus Heat Damage, which increases every time he plays.
Backbeat Timing: Causes invulnerability to last longer.
Stats (Max Rank) | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 50 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Duration | 30 Seconds | Ability Duration |
Max Duration | 60 Seconds | N/A |
| Heat Damage | 75% | Ability Strength |
Backbeat Bonus | 5% | Ability Strength |
| Heat Damage Cap | 750% | N/A |

4) Exalted Solo
Temple gains charges when using his abilities timed with the Backbeat Metronome, which allows him to use Exalted Solo.
Exalted Solo summons Lizzie (Temple’s Guitar) that acts as a flamethrower which may also use elemental soundwaves.
The elemental soundwaves can be used by aiming and pressing the corresponding keys used for abilities, each having a different element. (Viral, Magnetic, Cold, and Corrosive)
Backbeat Timing: No Energy consumed.
Stat | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 75 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Damage Multiplier | 1.25x | Ability Strength |
Wave Status Bonus | 3 | N/A |
Temple Strategy
The technique with Temple is to time your abilities with the Backbeat Metronome as this will reduce energy costs and provide additional effects.
Temple is excellent when it comes to setting enemies on fire but when using Exalted Solo, you can also apply other Status Effects from different elements.
Making use of the many Status Effects provided when using Lizzie can severely weaken or disable your enemies, making it easy to target crowds.
The more enemies you hit with your abilities, the better Ripper’s Wail will be, and you can stack the bonus as missions go longer.
Pyrotechnics is great for damaging enemies and even setting them on fire while Overdrive makes enemies more susceptible to Critical Hits, making it easier to damage your enemies.
Rippers Wail can be a lifesaver and the additional damage it provides can improve the efficiency of your whole team in missions.
Since Lizzie (Temple’s Guitar) can be upgraded with Mods, you can increase the total amount of damage and choose between a Critical Build, Status Build, or even a Hybrid Build.
Verdict
When it comes to Heat Damage, Temple is an expert in burning groups and punishing them with high amounts of Critical Damage.
Utilizing Exalted Solo will provide you with different elements and one of these is Viral, which can increase the amount of damage an enemy is taking to their health.
Temple’s ability to become invulnerable at certain times can make a huge difference in a battle and can be taken advantage of due to the lost Energy Costs of his abilities.
