The Kinemantik Instant Messaging system is a feature that was added with the release of Warframe 1999 that serves to build relationships with The Hex members.
As a Romance and Relationship System, KIM allows you to learn more about each of the members of The Hex and even build Chemistry with them.
Gaining Chemistry is also essential to unlock Rank 4 with The Hex Syndicate, allowing you to trade standing for even more items at the Hollvania Central Mall.
How To Access Kinemantik Instant Messaging?
To open the Kinemantik Instant Messaging system, head to the POM-2 PC in the front section of your orbiter and interact with it to Log On.
At the bottom of the screen, you may choose the KIM by selecting the 3rd button which has a chat icon. (If you have messages, there will be an exclamation mark shown)
How To Increase Chemistry With Kinemantik Instant Messaging?
There are multiple ways to increase your Chemistry with members of The Hex and some of them involve the use of the Kinemantik Messaging System.
These include the following:
Messaging The Hex Members
Chatting with members of The Hex can be done by clicking on their profile and responding with choices that are available after they have messaged you.
You will often get an increase in Chemistry with one of the members depending on how your conversation goes.
A good conversation will often have golden text in their replies and you will have a lot of chances to message them as you progress through the 1999 Calendar.
Giving Gifts To Hex Members
You have the option to send a gift to each member of The Hex by clicking the gift button on their profile and this takes you to a menu where you can choose the gift.
Gifts that you send to them will cost Hollars, which is the equivalent of Credits as these are the same currency.
Depending on what gift you give, there is a better chance of your Chemistry increasing and you will know if they like the gift if a heart appears on the DIRECTGIFTZ confirmation popup.
The Hex Member’s Birthdays
As your calendar progresses, there will be certain times when it will be a certain member’s birthday and this allows you to greet them.
Greeting a member on their birthday also gives you a chance to increase your Chemistry with them and is optional.
The following are the birthdays of all The Hex members:
- Arthur (Broadsword) – November 3
- Eleanor (Salem) – November 2
- Lettie (Belladonna ~{@ – February 14
- Amir (H16h V0l7463) – May 23
- Aoi (xX GLIMMER Xx) – July 10
- Quincy (Soldja1Shot1kil) – December 4
- Flare (Liminus_Star) – June 15
- Kaya (KOLTrial_5115) – January 1
What Does Chemistry Do?
Increasing your Chemistry will allow you to later progress with your rank with The Hex syndicate and apparently, more features are coming soon.
One of the features available, when you have gained Chemistry with a member, is to push things to another level by dating them. (This is optional)
This eventually allows you and the members you have a relationship with to have a moment later in the future, which is more like a romance feature introduced with Warframe 1999.
Minerva and Velimir Birthdays
It appears that the profile used by Minerva and Velimir is a shared account or some sort of group chat, which currently does not show their birthdays.
Minerva and Velimir currently do not have any birthdays shown on their profile and just like the other Protoframes from the Techrot Encore Update, they cannot be given gifts.
Starting Over
At the end of the Warframe 1999 Calendar, you may choose to forget or remember your Romance and Relationship progression with the Protoframes.
This happens once the year reaches the Winter season (Every 4 weeks) and you will be able to choose between Remember, Forget, or Choose Later.
Resetting your Romance and Relationship will remove all conversation history and Chemistry Rank with all of the members of The Hex. (Standing/Hex Syndicate Ranks are not affected)
Techrot Encore New POM-2 Settings
Upon the release of the Techrot Encore Update, additional settings have been added to the Kinemantik Instant Messaging system.
These include the following:
- Play All KIM Conversations – This can be toggled to have all available conversations played in a random order within a certain rank before reaching the next one.
- Jump to Next Player Interaction Point – This will disable the typing animation of Protoframes, making it faster to go through dialogues.
- Background Selection – You can now choose between different backgrounds to make the KIM system look the way you prefer it to.
Verdict
Overall, the KIM system is a fun feature to have in the game, and as the Man In The Wall mentioned, you will need to get to know the members of The Hex.
Interacting with the members via chat is something you can do daily if you wish to progress well with them and won’t take that much time. (You can do bounties with them as well)
One of the best ways to increase your Chemistry with The Hex members is to interact with them daily until you reach Liked or higher.
