Introduced with the Warframe 1999 Update, the 1999 Calendar System becomes a unique way for players to obtain various prizes.
This provides you with a series of challenges, rewards, and upgrades that will mostly be random for each season’s cycle.
Progressing with your 1999 Calendar will include completing To Dos (Challenges), selecting prizes (Rewards), selecting Hex Overrides (Upgrades), and even celebrating Hex birthdays.
What is a Seasons Cycle?
Time in Hollvania is shown with different seasons and there are four of them, which will be indicated on the top left part of the calendar.
Depending on the season, the appearance and events in Hollvania will be different, matching whatever season and ambiance there should be.
Each season will last for a week (real-time) and will change on Monday at 0:00 UTC, giving you 7 days to complete everything for the whole cycle.
The following can be completed each week:
- To Dos (Challenges)
- Collect Prizes (Rewards)
- Collect Hex Overrides (Upgrades)
- Birthdays (Celebrations if one is available)
Seasons will last 3 months and during these periods will contain their own randomized To Dos, Prizes, and Hex Overrides for you to complete or obtain.
The following seasons will include the months listed below:
- Winter – January, February, and March
- Spring – April, May and June
- Summer – July, August, and September
- Autumn – October, November and December
How To Progress With 1999 Calendar?
Progressing with the 1999 Calendar is done by completing events listed on your calendar, which all come in a certain order by date.
This means that you will have to complete any To Dos that appear first or collect Prizes or Hex Overrides to progress on the days.
An example would be the 1999 Winter Calendar above, which shows a completed To Do on December 6, which has allowed us to progress to December 15 to choose a Hex Override.
Once a Hex Override has been chosen, the date will be moved to the next event, which will be the To Do on December 21 on the calendar.
In short, you will just need to complete whatever is on the 1999 Calendar based on what is available first until you reach the end of the cycle.
To Dos (Challenges)
To Dos are challenges that you need to complete, which will eventually allow you to progress to the next event on your 1999 Calendar.
These will often involve killing a certain number of enemies and some may even require the use of abilities or different types of weapons while others may be to destroy containers.
Each cycle will provide you with a new set of To Do challenges as well as the other events, so completing these should be done to progress.
Hex Overrides (Upgrades)
Hex Overrides may be selected as you progress with your 1999 Calendar and provide you with buffs that are exclusive to the activities you do in Hollvania. (Choosing one will progress your calendar)
The effects of the Hex Overrides will last until the end of the 1999 Calendar duration, which allows you to keep them across multiple season cycles until the New Year comes.
To view a list of the Hex Overrides that are active for the current in-game year, you may select the overrides button on the top right of the screen in your 1999 Calendar.
Hex Overrides are split into two categories, which are Hex Boosts and Hex Factors and both of these will take effect in Hollvania Missions.
Hex Boosts provide you with a fixed buff that will always be active while Hex Factors provide certain effects by performing certain actions to trigger them.
Prizes (Rewards)
Prizes are rewards that you can obtain once you have progressed with the 1999 Calendar and will eventually be reached once you finish your To Dos and collect Hex Overrides.
Prize events will allow you to choose one out of two items as a reward, which will immediately be sent to your inventory after confirming your choice.
The items you can get from the prizes event will be randomized and will often give you a choice between the following items:
- Arcanes – Bellicose, Truculence, Impetus, Crepuscular, Camisado, Primary Crux, Second Enervate and Melee Doughty
- Archon Shards – Crimson, Amber, Azure, Topaz, Violet and Emerald

Hex Birthdays
All of The Hex members can be greeted on their birthdays, and this can be done to progress through your Calendar.
You can choose to greet them or to skip but it would simply be better to send them a greeting as this can increase your Chemistry with them.
You can tell in advance whose birthday is coming up as it will appear on the specific date when viewing the 1999 Calendar.
Verdict
The 1999 Calendar serves as a whole new activity organizer for those who want to delve into the Warframe 1999 scenario, and this offers a lot of rewards as you progress.
Aside from the fun that the 1999 Calendar provides, it is also a good way to get your hands on a lot of rewards if you can progress through it quickly.
A good way to prepare for the events would be to have Warframes that can complete the tasks quickly, especially those that can handle tougher enemies.
