Nova is one of the more popular support Warframes, capable of manipulating enemies using her electromagnetic abilities and control over molecules.
Controlling antimatter, she can force enemies to become slower or even push them to higher speeds or deal tons of damage to them.
While Nova is often used for supporting her team, she can also deal a great amount of damage to enemies, including bosses when utilized properly.

Nova Abilities
Passive Ability
Nova’s Passive Ability causes enemies who are killed while slowed to have a 15% chance to drop Health Orbs while those who are sped up have a 15% chance to drop Energy Orbs.
1) Null Star (Max Rank)
Nova creates several antimatter particles that begin to orbit her, which attack enemies that get within a certain range.
With each active antimatter particle that is orbiting Nova, damage that is dealt to her Health and Shields will be reduced.
Stat | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 25 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Antimatter Particles | 12 | Ability Duration |
Damage Reduction Per Particle | 5% | Ability Strength |
| Damage Reduction Cap | 90% | N/A |
Range | 10m | Ability Range |
Damage | 300 Blast | Ability Strength |
Augment Mods:
- Null Star causes the Particles created by Nova to deal 240 Heat Damage and this is 100% chance to inflict Status Effects. Recasting this ability will send particles to track enemies with an increased detection radius. Obtained from Cephalon Suda/Steel Meridian.
2) Antimatter Drop (Max Rank)
Nova launches a large particle of charged antimatter that travels towards where you are aiming your crosshair and absorbs damage that you deal to it.
Upon collision with an enemy or a surface, the antimatter will detonate, dealing Blast Damage based on the damage absorbed with a guaranteed knockdown status effect.
Stat | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 50 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Radius | 15 Meters | Ability Range |
Orb Damage | 200 Blast | Ability Strength |
| Damage Absorption | 8x | N/A |
Augment Mods:
- Antimatter Absorb allows bullets from enemies to be absorbed (5-meter radius), which increases the power caused by antimatter particles. Obtained from Cephalon Suda/Steel Meridian.
- Antimatter Mine allows Nova to deploy an orb that explodes when an enemy approaches it or if 6 seconds have gone by. Obtained from the Conclave.
3) Wormhole (Max Rank)
Nova rips out a Wormhole in front of her that connects to an exit point where you are aiming your crosshair in an instant.
This allows you or your allies to head into the Wormhole, instantly teleporting them to the exit point until all its uses are up, which closes it after.
Stat | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 75 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Number of Portal | 4 | N/A |
Number of Uses | 4 | N/A |
| Range | 50 Meter | Ability Range |
Augment Mods:
- Escape Velocity provides a speed bonus (50%) to allies that travel through a Wormhole created by Nova that lasts 7 seconds. Obtained from Cephalon Suda/Steel Meridian.
4) Molecular Prime (Max Rank)
Nova Prime’s all the enemies in a radius that begins to expand outwards with volatile antimatter, affecting all enemies that enter the area.
Activating the ability will slow enemies within the radius while holding the ability will speed them up, allowing you to control their movement speed.
Enemies who die under the effects of Molecular Prime will explode, causing damage around them, and damaging even more enemies.
Stat | Amount | Affected By |
Drain | 100 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Radius | 35 Meters | Ability Duration |
Slow/Speed | 50% | Ability strength |
| Damage Vulnerability | 200% | N/A |

Verdict
Nova’s ability to control the speed of an enemy can be a huge advantage to her and her allies, allowing her to control the flow of battle in an area.
Not only is Nova great for supporting her allies, but the damage also she can deal is insane when there are several enemies affected by Molecular Prime or with her Antimatter Drop absorbing damage.
Since Nova’s last change, several builds may now focus more on improvements instead of just utility, which made this Warframe an amazing choice in even more game modes.
