Shooting at your enemies can be a fun way to win a fight, especially with Higasa, Koumei’s signature primary weapon that has quite the twist.
This rifle fires a 5-shot burst and creates a protective shield in front of you when you are aiming, which provides a bit of protection.
To make things even more interesting, Higasa has a secondary fire, which unleashes a charged beam that is powered up by blocking projectiles and killing enemies.
Higasa Builds
1) Critical Chance Build
Our Critical Build for Higasa includes some of the more basic mods that boost damage and the Critical Chance of this primary weapon.
While we have included mods such as Vile Acceleration and Critical Delay, these can be replaced with similar mods to remove the negative stats.
This build is meant to help increase the amount of damage you do with Higasa by providing a high Critical Chance with decent base damage.
Since you can safely fire at enemies from a distance thanks to the shield and the weapon’s accuracy, scoring critical hits becomes much easier.
2) Headshot Build
For those who are a bit more accurate with weapons, our Higasa Headshot Build may be something worth considering.
This is simply our Critical Build with one mod replaced by Galvanized Scope, which boosts your Critical Chance when you kill enemies with a headshot.
Overall, this gives you even more Critical Chance, which will eventually lead to all your hits being critical ones as long as you aim for the head often.
You can replace the elemental damage mods with those of your choosing or add even other mods to alter the stats of Higasa.
3) Status Chance Build
Higasa can be modded to deal damage and inflict your enemies with Status Effects using this build, which is another great way to deal damage.
What makes this build great is that enemies will suffer based on which Status Effects they are affected with, which may weaken, damage them over time, and cause them to have other disadvantages.
You can rearrange the elemental damage and status mods to create the elemental combinations that you want depending on which enemies you are up against.
Galvanized Chamber and Galvanized Aptitude play a big part in this build due to the Multishot and additional Status Chance they provide.
4) Hybrid Build
We couldn’t leave out a hybrid build since sometimes dealing both critical damage and inflicting status effects can be a great way to shred your enemies.
Combining four of the elemental damage and status mods gives you not only a good amount of Status Chance but also more overall damage.
Vile Acceleration is added for more Fire Rate but this can be swapped out if you prefer to alter the build in another way.
This builds each shot to apply a status effect to your enemies and since Higasa fires a 5-shot burst, hitting enemies multiple times can be done with a single pull of the trigger.
Verdict
Higasa is a great weapon when it comes to offense but it’s shield provides its wielder with decent defense as well, which makes it easier in a fight.
Not only do the mods in these builds affect the 5-shot burst, but they also increase the damage of the charged beam that can be fired.
This gives you the option to continuously fire bursts accompanied by a powerful charged beam from a distance to obliterate enemies who stand in your way.
