The Shaping Slab is a Seasonal Vendor for Episode: Heresy that acts as a way for you to obtain rewards during the episode.
As you progress through the episode and participate in activities, there will be multiple rewards that you may unlock.
This Seasonal Vendor may later be altered through a specific quest that gives you the option to switch between the Path of Resolve and the Path of Ambition.
How To Unlock Shaping Slab?
At any time, you can swap between the Path of Resolve and the Path of Ambition as long as you have unlocked both of them.
How To Unlock Shaping Slab Resolve
The Shaping Slab: Resolve is unlocked as you progress with the Act: I Echoed Warnings quest in Episode: Heresy Act I.
This is first done once you arrive at Eris Morn’s Apartment where you need to interact with the Shaping Slab for the first time.
How To Unlock Shaping Slab Ambition
The Shaping Slab: Ambition is unlocked by completing the Writ: Path of Ambition quest, which is obtained by collecting at least 1 Tithing Wormspawn.
Tithing Wormspawns may be found in The Nether and upon collecting one, the Writ: Path of Ambition quest will be added to your Quest Menu.
Shaping Slab Rank Rewards
Depending on which path is active, the Shaping Slab will provide you with certain Rank Rewards as your Reputation Rank increases.
Additionally, as your Reputation Rank increases, you will be able to collect engrams that provide you with a Heretical Weapon.
Path of Resolve Rank Rewards
Below is a list of the Rank Rewards that you will obtain by progressing with the Shaping: Slab Resolve.
- Sigil Shards – Used to unlock Runic Enhancements and for activating rituals
- Tome of Want – Allows you to activate Rituals of Desire
- Power of Resolve – Weapon Mod that causes rapid hits to emit a Taken seeker projectile that is strong against Unstoppable Champions
- Steel Your Nerves – Path Mastery that causes your class ability to remove 2 stacks of Suffocating Terror
- Amorphous Scripture: Ultimate Power – Used when activating a ritual to obtain additional rewards
- Engraving: Dielectric – Boosts the Dielectric Artifact Perk, causing Arc debuffed rapid final blows to spawn an Orb of Power and return a small portion of health
- Metastasized Essentia – Used at the Taken Altar to receive rewards
- Unbreakable Will – Path Mastery that increases the decay rate of Suffocating Terror stacks
- Amorphous Scripture: Ultimate Power – Used when activating a ritual to obtain additional rewards
- Engraving: Maligned Harvest – Boosts the Maligned Harvest Artifact Perk, which provides you with a small Void Overshield when you Weaken targets
- Moment Of Clarity – Path Mastery that causes you to clear all stacks of Suffocating Terror and become immune to the effect for a period after destroying Sigil Stones
Path of Ambition Rank Rewards
Below is a list of the Rank Rewards that you will obtain by progressing with the Shaping: Slab Ambition.
- Metastasized Essentia – Used at the Taken Altar to receive rewards
- Engraving: Unravelling Orbs – Boosts the Unravelling Weave Artifact Perk, providing Strand weapons with increased damage to Strand Debuffed targets
- Path of Ambition – Weapon Mod that grants a weapon Blight Rounds, which deal damage over time to targets hit by the weapon. (Strong against Overload Champions)
- Ardent Force – Path Mastery that causes your grenade ability to remove a stack of Suffocating Terror when used
- Amorphous Scripture: Ultimate Power – Used when activating a ritual to obtain additional rewards
- Engraving: Elemental Siphon – Boosts the Elemental Siphon Artifact Perk, causing elemental pickups to grant matching Super energy when collected
- Metastasized Essentia – Used at the Taken Altar to receive rewards
- Undying Hunger – Path Mastery causes your health to quickly deteriorate when you have max stacks of Suffocating Terror instead of instantly killing you
- Amorphous Scripture: Ultimate Power – Used when activating a ritual to obtain additional rewards
- Engraving: Twisted Horde – Boosts the Twisted Horde Artifact Perk, which causes multiple Threadlings to be generated when dealing damage
- Sumptuous Repast – Path Mastery that causes you to lose all stacks of Suffocating Terror when a Sigil Stone is consumed, which increases damage dealt
How To Get Shaping Slab Reputation?
Shaping Slab Reputation is obtained by completing sections of The Nether and defeating the bosses that you encounter.
Consuming Sigil Stones and turning in Metastasized Essentia at the Taken Altar in Eris Morn’s Apartment will also provide reputation.
The reputation that you obtain from these sources will only be applied to the current active path.
Heretical Rituals
Heretical Rituals are features shared by both the Resolve and Ambition Shaping Slabs that provide you with advantages in Episode: Heresy Activities.
Runic Enhancements
Runic Enhancements is a collection of Runes that you may unlock using Sigil Powder and these can be activated to provide you with bonuses.
Once a Runic Enhancement has been unlocked, you may activate a certain number of them based on your Enhancement Level.
The following are the Runic Enhancements for The Nether:
- Arising Rune – First death does not consume a revive
- Prosperity Rune – Gain Sigil Shards when harvesting materials
- Essentia Rune – Keep a small portion of Metastasized Essentia upon activity failure
- Recuperation Rune – Healing Orbs reduce ability cooldown
- Renewal Rune – Fully heal after completing a Midnight Encounter
- Defense Rune – Healing orbs provide an overshield
- Scotopic Rune – Weapon icons become visible above Taken chests
- Plentiful Rune – Adds another Major Boon with boon selections
- Beneficence Rune – Boon selection occurs at the start of an activity, which may be a Major or Corrupted Boon
- Healing Rune – Increases effectiveness of Healing Orbs
The Following are the Runic Enhancements for the Court of Blades:
- Sigil Rune – Receive Sigil Shards for each tier purchased
- Adaptive Rune – Gain 2 additional armament purchases
- Armament Rune – Increased ammo from the crate at the end of a round
- Convergent Rune – Gain 2 additional Path-exclusive armament purchases
- Echelon Rune – Miniboss final blows have a chance to increase rune empowerment (Defeating Champions improves the chance)
- Effectuate Rune – Provides a chance to increase Essence of Desire when completing activities (High performance improves the chance; guaranteed with Platinum rewards)
- Orgone Rune – Super energy is restored the first time an augment is completed before the timer runs out (Available once per round)
- Remunerate Rune – The first purchase refunds the rune that was spent. (Available once per run)
- Accelerant Rune – Allows you to spend Sigil Shards at a Taken Altar to increase rune empowerment
- Adamantine Rune – Increases damage dealt and reduces damage received based on your rune empowerment
Mysterium
Mysterium is a collection of scrolls that are tied to the different boons you may obtain that may be upgraded as well as bonus features.
Obtaining boons will cause you to gain Scrolls of the Nether Faded Scrolls, which will allow you to gain more stacks when picking them up in the future.
Scrolls of the Nether include the following:
- Paracausal Health
- Orb Collector
- Swift Assassin
- Regenerative Strike
- Classical Recharge
- Grenade Recharge
- Protection: Bosses
- Herald of the Sky
- Herald of the Deep
Unlocking Scrolls of Blades will provide you with certain bonuses while you are on the Path of Resolve and doing the Court of Blades.
- Taken Ward – Reduces damage from Taken in Episodic activities
- Hive Ward – Reduces damage from Hive in Episodic activities
- Dread Ward – Reduces damage from Dread in Episodic activities
- Taken Surge – Increases damage against Taken in Episodic activities
- Hive Surge – Increases damage against Hive in Episodic activities
- Dread Surge – Increases damage against Dread in Episodic activities
Scrolls of Strength provide you with additional bonuses that are mainly related to your rituals or Sigil Stone drop rate.
Scrolls of Strength include the following:
- Ritual Potency – Rituals grow stronger, allowing you to claim additional rewards before your Tome of Want is drained of its power
- Dispelled Corruption – Increases Sigil Stone drop rate when Path of Resolve is active
- Coalesced Corruption – Increases Sigil Stone drop rate when Path of Ambition is active
