Previously you walked the Path of Resolve and upon the discovery of a Taken object known as a Tithing Wormspawn, a new path may now be unlocked.
The Writ: Path of Ambition is a quest that allows you to unlock the Shaping Slab: Path of Ambition and this provides you with new rewards for the season.
Once complete, your Guardian will be able to choose whether they wish to partake in the Path of Resolve or the Path of Ambition whenever they want.
How To Get Writ: Path of Ambition?
Writ: Path of Ambition will be added to your Quest Menu once you run The Nether activity and find one of the Tithing Wormspawns aboard the Dreadnaught.
The Tithing Wormspawns may be found in several locations and are hard to miss due to the bright glow that makes them visible even from a distance.
One of the easiest spots to find this Taken Worm would be to reach the Hall of Souls and near the area where you fight the Subjugator, one can be spotted below a bridge.
Writ: Path of Ambition Quest Steps
Step 1: Within the Nether, find and acquire a Tithing Wormspawn
Once you receive this quest, this step will already be finished since Writ: Path of Ambition is obtained once you collect a Tithing Wormspawn.
Step 2: Complete “Writ: Path of Ambition” and uncover a portion of the truth behind this Taken corruption on Dreadnaught
Quest Step 2 can be completed by launching the Writ: Path of Ambition activity that will be available once you have reached this point.
This involves finding the Shaping Slab by following a waypoint and interacting with it to Embrace Ambition and fight off the Corruption. (Taken enemies)
Step 3: Find the Shaping Slab in Eris’s apartment and Embrace your Ambition
Make your way to Eris Morn’s Apartment in the Last City and you will find an altar that has an Orb of what appears to be Taken energy.
You will need to interact with this altar to “Embrace Your Ambition” and this will alter the Orb to have a whitish glow instead of a dark one.
Step 4: Complete “Writ: Path of Ambition” and uncover a portion of the truth behind this Taken corruption on the Dreadnaught
All you need to do next to complete this quest is to head to the Shaping Slab and select “Accept” to finish Writ: Path of Ambition.
Writ: Path of Ambition Rewards
Upon the completion of Writ: Path of Ambition, you will now be able to swap between the Path of Resolve and the Path of Ambition by interacting with the altar at Eris Morn’s apartment.
Additionally, the following rewards will also be claimed when the quest is complete:
- Seasonal Gear (Common)
- Sigil Shards
- Essence of Desire
Verdict
After this quest is complete, you can choose between which type of Shaping Slab you will have active as both of them have different rewards.
The Path of Ambition provides you with new features to unlock, including Engravings, Path Masteries, Weapon Mods, and more.
Completing can be done quickly as all you will need to do is follow waypoints and fight multiple waves of enemies before returning to Eris Morn’s apartment.
