You can make Dark Chocolate Motes once you have all of the necessary ingredients below, which can be obtained during The Dawning event.

- 1 Taken Butter
- 1 Null Taste
- 15 Essence of Dawning
After you have all the required ingredients, you can bake Dark Chocolate Motes using Eva’s Holiday Oven.

“Deliver these tempting morsels to the Drifter in the Tower Annex.”
After baking Dark Chocolate Motes, you can take them over to Drifter in the Tower Annex and give them to him as a gift.
The Drifter in return will give you a Dawning Delivery, which will contain either Glimmer, legendary gear, and other goodies during the event.
Best Way to Farm Dark Chocolate Motes Ingredients
To get Taken Butter, you will need to hunt down Taken enemies, which is quite good in the EDZ or at The Dreaming City.
Null Taste can be obtained by defeating enemies with Void damage, which includes weapons as well along with abilities.
The best way to get both ingredients would be to defeat Taken enemies with Void abilities and weapons to speed up farming them.
Verdict
Some of the Lost Sectors that have Taken enemies are good places to farm both Taken Butter and Null Taste since you can guarantee the final blows are yours.
By simply rushing into a Taken Lost Sector and spamming your abilities, you can get the first two ingredients and resort to your weapon when your abilities are on cooldown.
After getting the first two ingredients, all you need to do is get some Essence of Dawning and afterward you can go ahead and bake the Dark Chocolate Motes for the Drifter.
