While the passive may seem confusing at first, there are several ways you can use Service-Minded to squeeze more resources out of certain targets.
What Does Service-Minded Do in Palworld?
Service-Minded is a Rank 3 Passive Skill that increases the amount of items you can get from the Pal carrying it by 50% as drops.
The important part is that the bonus applies to the Pal with Service-Minded, rather than enemies that your Service-Minded Pal defeats.
This means you want Service-Minded on a Pal you plan to butcher or process with the Pal Disassembly Conveyor for its usual drops.
Service-Minded can also be combined with Lavish Hospitality, another drop-increasing passive, making both worth getting onto Pals you intend to process.
We find this most useful when targeting Pals with valuable materials, since the extra drops can make repeated farming much more rewarding.
How to Get Service-Minded in Palworld?
Service-Minded can randomly appear on Pals you encounter, so you may eventually find the passive while capturing different species around Palpagos.
You can also continuously breed Pals, as offspring may randomly develop Service-Minded or other Passive Skills even when their parents do not have them.
This means you can keep breeding until Service-Minded appears, while also looking for other Passive Skills that you want for your setup.
If you already have a Service-Minded Pal, check its breeding combinations to find a path toward the Pal you want while transferring the passive.
From there, continue breeding the right Pals together until you produce offspring with Service-Minded and any other Passive Skills you want for your setup.
How to Use Yakumo to Get Service-Minded Pals?
Yakumo is where Service-Minded becomes much more interesting, as its Partner Skill can influence the Passive Skills found on Pals that you capture.
If you get Service-Minded onto Yakumo, newly captured Pals have a chance to inherit it, letting you target valuable Pals directly in the wild.
Remember that Yakumo itself is not increasing their drops, as you still need the captured Pal to actually receive Service-Minded for this method.
Once you successfully capture one with the passive, you can butcher it or send it through the Pal Disassembly Conveyor for its increased drops.
We particularly like using this setup for targets that cannot conveniently be mass-produced through breeding, since Yakumo gives you another way to obtain Service-Minded.
Using Service-Minded on Bounty Targets
A Service-Minded Yakumo is particularly useful when hunting Bounty Targets, since these enemies can be captured instead of simply being defeated for rewards.
Bringing Yakumo gives captured Bounty Targets a chance to receive Service-Minded, allowing you to take advantage of the passive when processing them afterward.
This can be a useful method when farming Bounty Tokens, letting you get additional value from targets that you would normally defeat and leave behind.
We recommend trying this whenever you are clearing multiple Bounty Targets, especially if Bounty Tokens are something you currently need in larger quantities.
Best Ways to Use Service-Minded
Service-Minded works best when you already know which Pal or material you want to farm rather than putting the passive on random Pals.
Breeding works well for repeatable targets, while a Service-Minded Yakumo gives you another approach when hunting specific Pals or Bounty Targets in the wild.
The Pal Disassembly Conveyor makes either method easier, as you can process multiple captured or bred Pals without manually butchering every one yourself.
Depending on what you need, you can switch between breeding and capturing to get more value from the targets you would already be farming.
Combining Service-Minded With Lavish Hospitality
Service-Minded can be paired with Lavish Hospitality, another Passive Skill that increases the amount of items dropped from the Pal carrying it.
Lavish Hospitality provides a larger 100% increase to dropped items, making these two passives especially useful when placed together on the same farming target.
One setup we recommend is getting both passives onto Yakumo, giving captured Pals a chance to inherit Service-Minded or Lavish Hospitality through its Partner Skill.
Once a captured target gets both passives, you can butcher it or use the Pal Disassembly Conveyor to take advantage of the increased drops.

Service-Minded may look like a simple drop bonus, but knowing which Pal actually needs the passive completely changes how useful it can be.
