After defeating and banishing Mephisto within the Pools of Creation, you escaped through the portal as the temple itself began to collapse.
With the threat seemingly over, Tyrael invites you to witness the destruction of the temple as it slowly sinks beneath the surrounding waters.
Tharra and the remaining Amazons are nearby as well, and while the battle against Mephisto may be over, there are still unresolved matters left behind.
How To Get A New Beginning Quest?
A New Beginning is obtained after the completion of the “Lord of Hatred” quest, where you previously slayed and banished Mephisto.
Coming through the portal that acts as an exit that brings you out of the Pools of Creation starts this quest right away.

You previously escaped through a portal to leave the Pools of Creation, and now you are outside again while the temple has started to sink.
Tyrael invites you to go and watch as this happens, which requires you to make your way to the marked area, and this is where you will find Tharra.
You will need to speak with Tharra, and the two of you will exchange words about what will be done next, where she implies that she and the Amazons will keep fighting.
During your talk with Tharra, you mention that there will be a visit to the Tree of Whispers, where you have unfinished business regarding Lorath’s peace.

Verdict
With Mephisto finally banished and the temple sinking into the depths, it seems that the long battle against the Lord of Hatred has finally come to an end.
You reunite with Tharra and the remaining Amazons, who now prepare to continue fighting against the corruption still spreading across Nahantu.
Despite Mephisto’s defeat, Lorath’s fate remains unresolved as his head was taken to the Tree of Whispers, leading you and Tyrael toward one final task to set his soul at peace.
