After surviving the dangerous climb through the volcanic mountain, you and your allies finally reached the entrance to the Tunnels of Hefaetrus.
The path toward the Horadric Vault continues underground, where even more deadly creatures and hazards stand between your group and the reforging of Lilith’s Blade.
Somewhere deeper within the tunnels, a powerful presence awaits, and defeating it will be necessary before the journey can continue.
How To Get A Still-Beating Heart Quest?
A Still-Beating Heart becomes available after completing “Some Fall, Some Jump,” where you previously fought your way through the burning slopes leading up the mountain.
After surviving the eruptions and reaching the entrance to the Tunnels of Hefaetrus, you, Lorath, and Tyrael continue your search for the Horadric Vault deeper within the mountain.
A Still-Beating Heart Walkthrough
When the quest begins, you will already be at the entrance of the Tunnels of Hefaetrus and will need to enter and explore them.
Continue fighting your way past the monsters in the dungeon until you reach a large room where a Deep Vein can be found.
The Deep Vein will explode, and from within it, a boss called the “Beast of the Deep” will emerge, and you will now have to fight and defeat it.
The Beast of the Deep is a large mountain-like beast that can deal damage in an area and has different ways to come at you.
Stay mobile and avoid its attacks while also defeating any minions that it spawns until you can empty its health.
After defeating the Beast of the Deep, take the loot that it drops and make your way to the nearby exit that leads to the Mount Hefaetrus South Face. (Quest ends here)
A Still-Beating Heart Quest Rewards
After exiting the Tunnels of Hefaetrus through the Mount Hefaetrus South Face, the quest will be complete, and a new quest called “The Needle’s Path” will begin.
In addition to the next quest being unlocked, you also receive:
