Upon the discovery of the Aionians on Kepler, Ikora appears to be fascinated to find another civilization that has been hidden and surviving on their own.
Now that you have reached the Aionian Campus, there seems to be a language barrier that is preventing proper communication, and Ikora would like you to find out more.
Ikora believes that it would be convenient to be able to speak to them directly instead of having to rely on Lodi all of the time, and you are to investigate further to see what can be done.
How To Get Faculty Advisement Quest?
The Faculty Advisement Quest becomes available after the completion of the first two Strangelet Quests, which have you searching for the Strangelet Capsules.
The following needs to be completed before Faculty Advisement becomes available:
This quest is added once you speak to Ikora Rey when it is available.
Faculty Advisement Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Use your basic understanding of the Aionian language to converse with the Aionian researcher
After obtaining the quest by speaking to Ikora Rey, the first thing you will need to do is head over to the Aionian Researcher that is marked by a quest marker.
Step 2: Find the monument and learn what you can from it
The Aionian Research spoke of a monument that is nearby, and you will need to approach and interact with it to learn more. (Monument To Failure)
Step 3: Speak with Dean Rebecca to learn more about the Aionians and how you can help
After learning from the Monument of Failure, you will now speak to Dean Rebecca, as there may be something you can do to help out the Aionians.
Step 4: Collect samples of the local Vex for the Aionians’ studies
To obtain samples, you will need to search the area for nearby Vex and defeat them, which will cause them to drop “Vex Samples.”
You will need to collect a total of 20 Vex Samples by defeating any Vex in the area.
Step 5: Return the Vex Samples to the Aionian researcher as requested
After you have obtained 20 Vex Samples, make your way back to the Aionian Researcher and speak to them to deliver what you have collected.
Step 6: Speak with Ghost
Head over to the marked location, and Ghost will connect you to a call with Ikora about Lodi, where she requests that you gain his trust and learn more about him.
Step 7: Analyze the terminal in House of Exile territory
It has been discovered that there is an offline terminal deep within House of Exile territory, and this holds data that could be valuable to the Aionians.
Make your way to the Curtilage Divide and interact with the terminal marked by a waypoint.
Step 8: Return to Ikora to speak with her about everything that’s happened
After you have analyzed the terminal, Ikora will appear nearby, and speaking to her will allow you to report what has happened, and this will complete the quest.

After speaking to Ikora near the offline terminal, the quest will come to an end, and you will be rewarded with the following:

- Fated Cipher

There appears to be more than meets the eye with the Aionians, and while their technology may seem different and slightly more advanced, they are still learning.
Thanks to you, their researchers will be much safer now, and a lot of data that they needed has been delivered to help them progress.
