Seething Opals are a new consumable that was added in Diablo 4 Season 6, the Season of Hatred Rising, and can be farmed by completing the new activity.

This involves defeating the Realmwalker that appears in the Hatred Rising zones and entering the Seething Portals to defeat the Sentinel Guardians.

Seething Opals may be consumed to provide you with a buff that allows you to farm specific types of loot as well as gain Zakarum Remnants.

How To Get Seething Opals?

Seething Opals are obtained by defeating Realmwalkers to open portals to the Seething Realm, which is where you will find a Realm Gate.

Interacting with the Realm Gate will allow you to choose what bonuses you will get as you make your way to the end of the Seething Realm. (Similar to a dungeon)

Once you have chosen the Realm Bonus that you want, you may proceed with completing the Seething Realm by defeating the Sentinel Guardians.

Upon opening the chests that spawn when the Sentinel Guardians have been defeated, you will be able to obtain Seething Opals (determined by your Realm Bonus) and other loot.

Seething Opal Uses

Seething Opals are consumed to provide you with buffs, and these will be different depending on what type of Seething Opal you use.

The buff will last for 30 minutes, providing you with the opportunity to continuously obtain more loot based on which Seething Opal you have used.

Additionally, you will be able to farm Zakarum Remnants when defeating enemies even if you are not in a Hatred Rising zone.

Currently, Seething Opals seem to be bugged and are not working as they were intended to but hopefully, this gets fixed sooner or later. (We will update this page when this happens)

All Seething Opals

There are 5 Seething Opals that you may obtain from the Seething Realm but when it comes to the Seething Opal of Socketables, this can only be obtained from Nahantu Seething Realms.

Seething Opal of Socketables not Available

If you are trying to get the Seething Opal of Socketables and notice that it does not appear when you interact with the Realm Gate, this is because you need to be in Nahantu.

By this, we mean that you need to find a Realmwalker in Nahantu (not the other regions) and defeat it to open a Seething Realm Portal.

Once you enter the Seething Realm and reach the Realm Gate, you will find the Seething Opal of Socketables among the other choices.

Verdict

Seething Opals are a great addition to Diablo 4 as they provide you with a new way to farm certain types of loot that you need for progress.

Currently, Seething Opals seem to be bugged, and this makes them a bit useless right now until Blizzard fixes them in a future patch.

Farming Seething Opals can still be done now and used later when they have been fixed, allowing you to farm the loot you need later.
