How To Get Volt?
Volt is one of the starting Warframes, which allows you to get him for free when you are first starting in Warframe.
You may also purchase Volt for 75 Platinum, providing you with the fully built Warframe, or you may research and replicate his blueprints.
Blueprint and Components Blueprints
Volt must be researched in the Clan Dojo’s Tenno Lab, and completing this process unlocks the main blueprint and all component blueprints for every clan member.
After the research finishes, you can replicate each blueprint using credits, allowing you to bring them back to your Orbiter and prepare for crafting without any extra steps.
Inside your Orbiter, you can access the Foundry to craft Volt’s components, and once all three parts are finished, you can build the complete Warframe.

Volt Abilities
Passive Ability
Volt generates static energy whenever he moves on the ground by walking, running, or sliding, adding 10 electricity damage for every meter traveled.
This bonus damage stacks continuously, reaching a maximum of 1000 points, and applies to his next weapon attack or ability cast.
1) Shock
Volt unleashes a voltaic projectile that stuns a single target and chains to nearby enemies, damaging multiple targets with a single cast.
This ability synergizes with electric shields, increasing its damage and also causes an overcharge when using it on an enemy affected by Discharge, causing a burst from the target.
Shock (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 15 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Chain Links | 5 | N/A |
Damage | 200 Electricity | Ability Strength |
| Range | 15 Meters | Ability Range |
Augment Mods:
- Shock Trooper allows you to hold the ability to grant nearby allies additional Electricity Damage to their attacks. Obtained from Arbiters of Hexis/Red Veil.
2) Speed
Volt unleashes an electric current that affects him as well as his allies, providing them with a movement speed and reload speed buff.
The buff lasts for a period of time and will wear off afterward, and recasting the ability can be done to refresh the time and reapply the buff.
Speed (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 25 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Radius | 25 Meters | Ability Range |
Duration | 12 Seconds | Ability Duration |
| Speed Multiplier | 1.75x | Ability Strength |
Reload Speed | 25% | Ability Strength |
Augment Mods:
- Shocking Speed causes enemies near Volt to take Electricity Damage with a guaranteed Electricity Status Effect being inflicted. Obtained from Arbiters of Hexis/Red Veil.
3) Electric Shield
Volt deploys an electric shield in front of him, which blocks projectiles and enhances projectiles that go through it with Electricity Damage.
Volt can pick up the shield, carry it with him while performing other actions, and place it back down at any location he chooses. (6 may be active at a time)
Electric Shield (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 50 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Duration | 25 Seconds | Ability Duration |
Extra Damage | 50% Electricity | N/A |
Augment Mods:
- Transistor Shield allows allies to pick up the Electric Shield and causes absorbed damage to be added to Volt’s Static Discharge. Obtained from Arbiters of Hexis/Red Veil.
- Recharge Barrier restores allies’ shields when they pass through the Electric Shield. Obtained from Conclave.
4) Discharge
Volt discharges electricity in an area around him, sending out a shockwave that paralyzes and damages enemies in the area.
Enemies affected will emit arcs of lightning that shock other enemies near them, in addition to being stunned.
Discharge (Max Rank)
Stat | Value | Affected By |
Drain | 100 Energy | Ability Efficiency |
| Radius | 20 Meters | Ability Range |
Effect Radius | 8 Meters | Ability Range |
| Duration | 4 Seconds | N/A |
Damage/Second | 1,200 Electricity | Ability Strength |
| Effect Duration | 6 Seconds | Ability Duration |
