Atramentum is a resource that was added in Update 42: The Shadowgrapher and is an important currency used to purchase items added in the update, including the Blueprints for Follie.
This resource comes in small amounts, making it necessary to farm a ton of it in the Follie’s Hunt activity, which can be found in the Vesper Relay.
Mastering the Follie’s Hunt activity, such as navigating it quickly and avoiding being swarmed by enemies, is the key to quickly succeeding and farming this resource.
Where To Get Atramentum?
Atramentum comes from the Vesper Relay, which is where Follie’s Hunt takes place, and this can be found on Venus and starts from Navigation.
Once you begin the activity, you arrive at the Vesper Relay and will need to make your way to the painting marked by a waypoint to begin.
How To Get Atramentum?
Atramentum is rewarded once you complete the Follie’s Hunt activity, which requires you to search for Paint once you head through the portal and reach the other side.
This is where Follie eventually begins to follow you, requiring that you evade her along with enemies and traps that are scattered in the area.
Navigating through the area and collecting Paint before bringing them to the canvases must be done 3 times, completing rotations A to C before the mission is completed.
During Follie’s Hunt, you may stumble upon Atramentum Ballons, which can be destroyed to provide you with extra Atramentum during the mission. (These seem to be affected by Resource Boosters)
Upon completing each run of Follie’s Hunt, you will be rewarded with Atramentum upon successfully extracting from the mission, and you may repeat this to obtain more with each run.
Atramentum Uses
Atramentum is used to make purchases from Aspirant Zorba, who can be found in any relay and easily reached by fast traveling to him once you are in one.
The following are the items that may be purchased from Aspirant Zorba with Atramentum:

A total of 1,625 Vessel Capillaries is enough for you to purchase all of the items that Loid has for sale in the Research Dante menu.
Atramentum Resource Booster
Currently, it seems that purchasing a Resource Booster does not provide you with an increased amount of Atramentum reward, making it necessary to grind this resource without a bonus.
Finding Atramentum Balloons is a good idea, as you focus on the main goal, as pickups work differently from mission-end rewards.
Best Way To Farm Atramentum
The best way to maximize the amount of Atramentum you get in a mission would be to collect Atramentum by destroying Atramentum Balloons while you do the objectives.
Having a mod that helps show the items around the map can make doing this much easier since Atramentum Balloons and other items show on the map.
Having a Resource Booster may not improve the rewarded Atramentum from the mission reward but it does help with the ones that you pick up from the Atramentum Balloons.
Verdict
Atramentum can feel slow to farm at first, but once you get comfortable clearing Follie’s Hunt, the mission becomes much faster to repeat.
Matchmaking can help a lot since having more players collecting Paint and distracting enemies speeds up each rotation and reduces downtime.
With no Resource Booster support, efficiency is everything, so keep improving your route, avoid getting pinned down, and pop every Atramentum Balloon you see to build up what you need from Zorba.
