Warframe: Dactolyst (How To Defeat & Rewards)

The Dactolyst is a Sentient Boss that you encounter in the Recall: Dactolyst mission from the Dark Refractory, which was introduced in The Old Peace.

This sturdy and agile enemy was once a Sentient with free will, until it was corrupted by the Anarchs, which caused it to lose control and attack you.

Fighting this boss at the end of the mission will provide you with a chance to get certain rewards, including a special resource that only the Dactolyst drops.

Where To Fight Dactolyst?

Dactolyst is encountered during the Recall: Dactolyst mission, which is accessed through The Perita Rebellion activity from the Dark Refractory.

Once the mission begins, you are given a 12-minute window to complete objectives, farm resources, and secure buffs that significantly improve your effectiveness for the upcoming boss fight.

When the timer expires, you are automatically transported to the final arena, where the encounter with Dactolyst begins.

How To Defeat Dactolyst?

The Dactolyst’s ability to fly gives it a clear advantage during the first phase of the encounter, requiring players to rely primarily on ranged weapons or damaging abilities.

However, its relatively low flight altitude allows melee-focused builds to remain viable by jumping toward the target and maintaining air time through aim gliding.

Be prepared to evade frequently, as the Dactolyst remains highly aggressive during this phase and can quickly punish players who neglect positioning and awareness.

From time to time, the Dactolyst may attempt to unleash projectiles and spinning electric traps that travel along its path or stay in one spot, making it important to always be on the move.

There will be times when this boss will also unleash a fiery wall, but there will often be a gap in it that you can slip through, or you can use operator mode to avoid the damage.

After its health is fully depleted during the first phase, the Dactolyst transitions from aerial combat to ground-based pursuit, becoming a more direct and relentless threat.

Its aggression remains unchanged, requiring constant movement and sustained damage until its health pool is completely drained a second time.

Elemental damage types such as Corrosive are particularly effective in this phase, as stripping armor significantly improves damage output against the Dactolyst’s high durability.

Rewards

Defeating the Dactolyst grants Ren Hypercores, a rare resource used alongside similar materials to purchase Focus School Tauron weapons.

Once the mission is completed, one of the following arcanes:

  • Zid-An Haras
  • Zid-An Uskos
  • Zid-An Asheir
  • Zid-An Osbok
  • Zid-An Sek-Eel

Verdict

The Dactolyst encounter rewards preparation, mobility, and adaptability, challenging players to adjust between aerial and ground combat without losing momentum.

Understanding its aggression patterns and choosing effective elemental damage greatly reduces the difficulty of what is otherwise a punishing fight.

With exclusive resources and valuable arcanes available, Dactolyst stands as a worthwhile boss for players pushing deeper into Dark Refractory content.
