Jade features a whole arsenal of signature weapons and one of these is Cantare, a set of blades that can be thrown at enemies.
These blades will pierce your enemies and return to you, dealing damage with a 300% increased critical chance and applying the Cantare Chorale buff. (Increase Reload Chance)
To get you started with some builds, we have provided a few that can be utilized in missions and even altered to suit your playstyle.
Cantare Builds
1) Critical Blades Build
One of the most basic builds for Cantare would be a full-on Critical Build, which is what the Primed Target Cracker and Primed Pistol Gambit are for.
Anemic Agility and Gunslinger have been added to increase the Rate of Fire, allowing you to quickly throw the blades before they return.
Two elemental mods have been added along with Hornet Strike to increase the amount of damage that can be done while Galvanized Diffusion has been added for Multishot.
2) Status Blades Build
Those who love to inflict their enemies with Status Effects will enjoy using Cantare with this build, which includes Jolt, Pistol Pestilence, Scorch, and Frostbite.
These boost the total Status Chance of Cantare to 74.8% and increase the weapon’s damage, which will often cause your targets to suffer from Status Effects unless they have already been killed.
Even if this is a Status Build, the blades will still be affected by a 300% increased Critical Chance when returned, which can be devastating for enemies unlucky enough to be in their path.
3) Hybrid Blades Build
Hybrid builds often provide the best of both worlds and are suitable for those who love to mix Critical Damage with Status Effects, which can also be done with Cantare.
This build provides a high Status Chance and decent Critical Chance for you to inflict enemies with Status Effects and deal critical damage with your attacks.
The addition of Primed Target Cracker will also add to the amount of damage that the blades deal when they return since they are guaranteed to deal critical damage.
4) Full Damage Build
When it comes to dealing large amounts of damage, we resorted to using speed and base damage to create this build to get the job done.
Included in this build are the Deep Freeze, Heated Charge, Pathogen Rounds, and Convulsion mods that increase the base damage along with Hornet Strike.
Galvanized Diffusion, Lethal Torrent, and Gunslinger provide this build with a decent Rate of Fire and Multishot to make using this weapon more convenient.
Verdict
There are different ways for you to utilize Cantare since its starting stats provide multiple opportunities and one thing you can count on is the reduced Reload Speed buff.
You may want to consider using other mods to replace those that affect certain stats such as replacing Gunslinger with Pressurized Magazine for a better increase to your Rate of Fire.
It would be good to keep in mind that the blades will return while you reload, which will allow you to either time when to bring them back or build for speed for uninterrupted damage.
