Warframe: Afentis Prime (How to Get & Builds)

With the release of Styanax Prime, his signature speargun also received a Primed version in the form of Afentis Prime.

Afentis Prime is designed to deal explosive damage across multiple enemies while also providing supportive effects that benefit nearby allies.

It combines strong radial impact shots with solid Critical and Status performance, making it effective in both damage-focused and utility-focused playstyles.

How To Get Afentis Prime?

Afentis Prime can be obtained by collecting its Prime parts and then crafting it in the Foundry once all components have been gathered.

Each of its parts is obtained from Void Relics and must be farmed and collected before you can assemble the final weapon blueprint.

The following Relics contain Afentis Prime parts:

  • Afentis Prime Barrel – Neo C8
  • Afentis Prime Blueprint – Axi A22
  • Afentis Prime Blade – Meso A12
  • Afentis Prime Handle – Lith Q3

Afentis Prime Unique Trait

Wrath’s alternate fire launches a speargun that, if it does not hit an enemy, instead creates a support field around the impact area.

Allies inside this field gain increased reload speed, fire rate, and maximum ammo, along with a 50% reduction in recoil for improved weapon handling.

Getting a kill while inside the area refreshes all buffs, allowing the effect to be maintained for up to 40 seconds through continued combat.

Afentis Prime Builds

1) Prime Primer Build

Some players tend to use Afentis for its ability to buff allies, while others may enjoy utilizing the radial damage after its projectile hits a surface.

Those who want to utilize Afentis Prime as a method of priming targets can have up to 2 or 3 different secondary elements and go over 100%, Status Chance.

This makes it easy to inflict Status Effects on a group of enemies, weakening them, causing damage over time, and making them vulnerable to extra damage from mods like Condition Overload.

2) Prime Critical Build

When it comes to dealing large amounts of damage, sometimes you can get lucky with Critical Hits, and with this build, the Critical Chance of Afentis Prime has been increased up to 78%

This makes the weapon have a high chance to deal Critical Hits, and aside from this, its base damage has been increased along with a touch of Multishot from Vigilante Armament.

Not only does this make Afentis Prime useful for the buff from its Unique Trait, but you can also use it to deal damage to multiple targets thanks to its radial damage.

3) Prime Status Build

Status Builds can be useful for different builds, allowing you to deal large amounts of damage as well as inflict Status Effects to make things even more chaotic.

With a guaranteed chance to inflict status effects, you can weaken enemies, prime them, and set them up to be finished off with your other weapons.

The base damage alone from this build can be used to destroy your enemies, and along with its high status chance, your enemies are in for a world of punishment.

4) Prime Hybrid Build

For those who feel like Critical Builds or Status Builds are not enough, you can always opt to combine these builds to get results that will annihilate your targets.

Enemies you attack will suffer from Status Effects if they happen to survive your attacks, which will often include Critical Hits.

With this build, you can expect groups of enemies to become mushy targets, which you can either continue to blast or simply finish off with your other weapons.

Verdict

Afentis Prime stands out as a hybrid speargun that balances explosive crowd damage with consistent single-target pressure when aimed and timed correctly.

Its radial explosions make it easy to clear grouped enemies, while its strong Critical and Status scaling keeps it relevant in higher-level content.

Once you get used to weaving its shots and alternate fire support field, it becomes a reliable weapon that brings both damage and utility into almost any mission setup.
