The Afentis speargun is a weapon that was added alongside Styanax when he was first introduced to Warframe, making it his main weapon.
This weapon fires off a projectile that deals a small amount of damage on impact and later explodes to damage enemies in its radius.
Its alternate fire allows you to throw the weapon, providing a buff in an area around it and several benefits to those within range.
How To Get Afentis?
Unlike most weapons, the Afentis blueprint is purchased with Stock at Kahl’s Garrison, which allows you to craft the weapon later in your Orbiter.
You may purchase the Afentis blueprint for 60 Stock from Chipper at Kahl’s Garrison but will need to be Rank 5 (Home) to do so.
Once you have obtained the blueprint for the Afentis, you may craft it at the Foundry aboard your orbiter.
The only Afentis farm method you need to consider is obtaining Stock and increasing your rank at Kahl’s Garrison, which can be done by doing missions and completing objectives.

Afentis Builds
1) Critical Build
The Afentis Critical build focuses on dealing a large amount of damage in a wider radius with the help of critical mods.
Its damage is increased by a combination of elemental damage while it gains a boost in the radial attack with the help of Primed Firestorm.
The critical chance allows the weapon to deal large amounts of damage to enemies, allowing you to destroy multiple enemies in mere seconds.
2) Headshot Build
With the Afentis Headshot Build, your accurate shots will be of great benefit as they increase your critical chance whenever you deal a headshot.
This requires that the main projectile hits an enemy’s head first, allowing you to take advantage of the large boost in critical chance.
Utilizing this build will allow you to get more critical hits, which also affect the explosion that follows after the initial impact.
3) Status Build
If you are a fan of torturing your enemies with status effects, the Afentis Status build is one that you will surely like.
With a status chance boosted to 84%, the Afentis will be able to inflict enemies easily with status effects upon initial impact as well as the radial explosion.
You may utilize Galvanized Aptitude instead of Hammershot to give you a boost in status chance upon killing enemies to guarantee a higher chance of inflicting status effects.
4) Hybrid Build
The Afentis Status build does not only ensure that you deal critical hits to enemies, but it also has a high chance of inflicting status effects.
Enemies who are hit by the initial attacks have a good chance to take a critical hit as well as become inflicted with one or more status effects.
You may exchange Galvanized Chamber with Galvanized Aptitude if you want to use this weapon to prime enemies before switching to your secondary weapon.
Verdict
There are certain situations where you would wonder what an Afentis good build would be, and this mostly depends upon the situation, especially if you have an Afentis Riven.
Aside from providing buffs in the area, the Afentis is thrown at, and allies who kill enemies within the area will retain the buff temporarily even if they leave the radius.
A good way to utilize the Afentis speargun would be to utilize its buff to boost yourself and your allies during fights.
