Fugitive Head is a type of Material (Categorized as consumable) that can be obtained during Season 7, the Season of Witchcraft.
These materials are requirements when it comes to crafting the new Occult Gems that were added when the season began and are essential for empowering your builds.
While Fugitive Heads may not be easy to farm during the earlier parts of the season, you will be able to get your hands on these once you progress to Torment I and higher World Tiers.
How To Farm Fugitive Head?
To obtain Fugitive Heads, you will first need to be on Torment I or higher and will have to defeat Fugitive Head Bosses who drop them.
Fugitive Head Bosses have a chance to spawn when you uproot Exposed Roots, which can be found during the season. (Headhunt Activity Zones and Rootholds)
These bosses were introduced in the Season of Witchcraft and can later be fought to obtain several rewards aside from just the Fugitive Heads.
Defeating Fugitive Head Bosses can be a bit challenging due to the need to grind in Headhunt Activity Zones and the actual fight against them requires you to deal a lot of damage.
How To Find Fugitive Head Bosses?
There are two ways for you to find Fugitive Head Bosses, which are to either find Exposed Roots in Headhunt Activity Zones or Roothold Dungeons.
In Headhunt Activity Zones, complete Whispers may cause Exposed Roots to spawn and there is a chance for them to be a Cocoon, which has a chance to spawn a Fugitive Head Boss.
When exploring Roothold Dungeons, you will come across several Exposed Roots and they may also provide you with a chance to encounter a Fugitive Head Boss.
Headhunt Activity Zones will always be active and finding Exposed Roots requires you to grind in the area while Rootholds requires you to have Whispering Wood Keys.
Fugitive Head Uses
Fugitive Heads are one of the Materials that are required to craft Occult Gems, which are a type of Socketable item that was added in Season of Witchcraft.
Occult Gems provide you with multiple Affixes, Bonus Stats, and a Passive, which become extremely useful as you perfect your builds.
You may craft Occult Gems by visiting the Gelena the Coven Jeweler, who can be found at The Tree of Whispers at The Writhing Mire in Hawezar.
How To Increase Fugitive Head Encounter Chance?
You can increase the chances of a Fugitive Head appearing by consuming a Draught of Whispers, which increases the chance of 50%
One of the best ways to increase the chance of encountering a Fugitive Head Boss would be to play on the highest difficulty possible while also using a Draught of Whispers.
Verdict
Getting your hands on Fugitive Heads won’t happen that much if you are in a World Tier lower than Torment I, which makes it best to progress before you try to farm them.
The higher the World Tier, the higher the chance you will be able to encounter a Fugitive Head Boss, especially if you use a Draught of Whispers.
Fugitive Heads need to be picked up manually and this will place them in the Consumables Section in your Inventory.
