Diablo 4 has a great way of challenging players, which is through the different difficulties or World Tiers that you can shift to.
Players who have completed the game will find that they still need to progress to reach higher levels before they can play on the Torment World Tiers.
Once players start reaching higher levels, their main goal to obtain better loot is to move to Torment I and later, higher difficulties.
How To Unlock Torment 1?
To change to Torment I, you will first need to reach Level 60 and this can either be done with the Main Quest or by following the Seasonal Questline if you have skipped it.
Once you have finished going through quests, you can resort to grinding to level up fast and some of the best choices would be to farm in Helltide or Seasonal Event Zones.
Other ways to grind experience to level up fast would be to also obtain rewards from the Tree of Whispers by collecting Grim Favors or by doing Nightmare Dungeons.
Upon reaching Level 60, The Pit of The Artificer will be unlocked and you will need to complete Tier 20 (Torment I) to unlock the World Tier.
After you have completed Tier 20 (Torment I) of The Pit, you may change your difficulty by interacting with statues. (Examples would be the ones in Cerrigar or Kyovashad)
Unlocking Higher World Tiers
After you have unlocked Torment I, there will be other difficulties that you can progress to once you are capable of conquering higher tiers of The Pit.
The following are the other difficulties that you may unlock after Torment I and their requirements:
- Torment II – Complete The Pit – Tier 35
- Torment III – Complete The Pit – Tier 50
- Torment IV – Complete The Pit – Tier 65
World Tier Difficulties
Changing to a different World Tier will affect not just the difficulty of the enemies that you face all around Sanctuary but the rewards as well.
Higher World Tiers provide you with better rewards and eventually allow you to obtain more and better loot depending on what tier you are on.
Level Details may also affect the different seasons, such as with the Season of Witchcraft, where the difficulty affects the chance to find Forgotten Altars and Fugitive Heads.
Verdict
The first step will always require that you reach Level 60, so you will want to stick to a method of grinding that is more convenient for you.
The Pit of The Artificer (Known simply as The Pit) can be difficult when you are preparing to move to a higher tier, which makes it important to gear up properly.
When it comes to getting the best loot during a season, you can expect all of the good stuff to always be on Torment IV, which is the endgame World Tier.
