If you have been away for quite some time and have decided to come back to Sanctuary and continue slaying evil creatures, you won’t have to grind from the very beginning.
This is because Blizzard offers the Welcome Back Booster for returning players who plan on creating a new character in the Eternal Realm.
While the number of uses of this booster is limited, they can provide one or two characters of yours with the opportunity to skip to the endgame parts of Diablo 4.
What is The Welcome Back Booster?
The Welcome Back Booster is a feature in which players jump past most of the grinding in the game and reach Level 50 while also collecting everything they would have found along the way.
This causes you to not only reach Level 50 but also get to choose a build when using the booster, which provides you with a full set of Legendary Gear and a ready-to-play build.
Additionally, you will be provided with Crafting Materials and Murmuring Obols, and your Class Specialization will be ready to use. (As if you already completed your Class Quest)
Keep in mind that the Welcome Back Booster is only available in the Eternal Realm and cannot be used for Seasonal Characters.
How To Use Welcome Back Booster?
Head inside the Inn located in Kyovashad and interact with the Fated Reliquary and this will open a menu for you to choose a build.
The build that you choose will provide you with certain Legendary Equipment and additional Crafting Materials that you may use later.
Aside from the items that you obtain, your level will be boosted to 50 and your Skills will automatically be set depending on the build you have chosen.
If you plan on changing your build or choosing different Skills, you may Respec your character whenever you wish.
Kyovashad Fated Reliquary Location
The Fated Reliquary can be found in Kyovashad within the Inn northwest of the Waypoint, which is also where you have access to a Stash and a Wardrobe.
You will be able to find and access the Fated Reliquary as soon as you log in with a character even if they have been newly created.
Using Welcome Back Booster Twice
It is mentioned that the Welcome Back Booster can only be used once for most players but those who have purchased the Vessel of Hatred will be able to use the booster twice.
This will automatically be available for players once they log in again with another new character or one that is below Level 50.
Verdict
The Welcome Back Booster is a great way to skip parts of the game that you have already completed, allowing you to proceed to grinding endgame items.
While players may want such a feature for Seasonal Characters, this has not been made possible and is considered best this way so that everyone has a fair start with each season.
The Welcome Back Booster is only used once you choose a build from the Fated Reliquary and will not be used if you decide to change your character before this happens.
