Destiny 2 Into The Depths Quest Steps (Week 2)

You have responded to a distress call and have discovered later that an ancient creature that roams the Methane Ocean, which is where you found Sloane and Ahsa.

Since Sloane and Ahsa have a psychic bond, the two can connect Sloane may relay the information that will be beneficial in fighting back against The Witness.

There will be a lot of work to do as their psychic connection requires a lot and only with your help and patience can they perfect it.

How To Get Into The Depths Quest?

Into the Depths is the Seasonal Quest for Season of the Deep and you can obtain it once you have completed The Descent mission.

This later allows you to accept the quest after you have received the NPA Repulsion Regulator, which is this season’s artifact.

Step 1: Speak with Drifter via the Holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.

The Drifter would like to have a word and you can speak to him by interacting with the Sonar Station to get his message.

He mentions that he detected something on the ocean floor, which he describes as an organism that can help amplify Sloane’s link to Ahsa.

Step 2: Complete the Salvage Activity

You will need to search for Golden Age technology from the ruins of Titan and this can be done by opening the destinations tab where you will select the H.E.L.M.

Once you are looking at the H.E.L.M. map, you can select the Salvage activity, which will start matchmaking until you are ready to head in to face the challenge.

Step 3: Complete the Mission “Operation Thunderbolt”

After you have salvaged some technology, the drifter has modified his Gambit bank so you can use it to store coral from the depths of Kraken Mare.

You will need to dive into the Twilight depth of Titan’s Methane Sea and fight back against the horrors that are found there as you collect Egregor Coral.

Step 4: Bring the Coral to Sloane in the H.E.L.M.

You will need to head into the Dive Tank, which can be accessed by entering the portal next to the Sonar Station at the H.E.L.M.

Once you reach Sloane, you will need to deposit the coral into the device that is in front of Sloane to amplify her psychic bond with Ahsa.

Step 5: Speak with Sloane via the Holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.

Head back through the portal and make your way to the Sonar Station to interact with it, which will start a brief conversation over the holoprojector with Sloane.

Sloane will explain more about her connection with Ahsa, which you will have witnessed after you deposited the coral.

Step 6: Claim the “Deep Challenger” Seasonal Challenge

After you have completed one of the challenges, you can now claim its rewards from the Bonus Challenges.

Step 7: End of Week 1

Sloane and Ahsa are resting from their psychic bond and will need some time before they can harness more of the Egregore Coral.

You will be informed by the Vanguard once Sloane and Ahsa are ready to boost their bond once more.

Into The Depths Week 2 Quest Steps

Step 8: Speak with Zavala via the Holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.

Zavala has a mission update and wishes to speak with you now that Sloane has recovered and it is time to boost her connection with Ahsa once more.

Head over to the H.E.L.M. and interact with the Sonar Station to speak with Zavala through the holoprojector.

Step 9: Complete the Salvage Activity

The Drifter requires that you collect more Golden Age technology that can be salvaged from the ruins on Titan.

You will need to complete a Salvage Activity, which can be launched from the Destinations tab when viewing the H.E.L.M.

Step 10: Complete the Mission “Mayday, Mayday”

The Drifter has improved his coral banking device to be functional at greater depths and you will need to head out to assist a team that has already gone to do a job.

You will need to complete the Mayday, Mayday mission, which will now be available via the Destinations tab at the H.E.LM.

Step 11: Witness the Conversation in the H.E.L.M.

Another successful dive has been completed and you will now need to return to the H.E.L.M. to see what Zavala has to say.

Zavala will speak to you and Saint-14 will also appear where the two of them have a quick conversation about leadership.

Step 12: Bring the Coral to Sloane in the H.E.L.M.

Once you have finished witnessing the conversation between Zavala and Saint-14, continue by going into the portal and interacting with the device marked by a waypoint.

Step 13: Speak with Sloane via the Holoprojector in the H.E.L.M.

Sloane has made another successful connection with Ahsa and more has been revealed but once again, she will need to rest up before another connection can be made.

Step 14: End of Week 2

The Vanguard will inform you once Sloane is ready to make another connection with Ahsa again but this will need to be boosted once she has regained her strength.

Into The Depths Quest Rewards

As you progress through the quest steps in Into The Depths, you will be able to collect various rewards from Season of the Deep.

Additionally, the missions you do and activities you participate in for the quest will help you gain a lot of experience to rank up quickly.

Summary

With The Witness targeting both the Vanguard and Ahsa’s species, the alliance you have made provides a fighting chance that may be able to have an impact.

Although there is much to do for Sloane and Ahsa to make the perfect psychic bond, this can be done one step at a time and eventually, they will get there.

Hopefully, your alliance will be enough to withstand The Witness or even defeat them but you will need to act soon before it’s too late.
