Ahsa’s signature has been detected within the depths of the Kraken Mare behind enemy lines and the Vanguard believes that she has been captured.
You will need to deploy once more into the Methane Sea to search for your new ally before the worst will happen.
This requires that you delve into the depths and find a way to reach Ahsa before anything catastrophic can happen.

How To Get Barotrauma Mission?
The Barotrauma Mission becomes available during quest step 37 of the seasonal quest called “Into the Depths” and is required to be completed before you can progress.
Barotrauma Mission Objectives
1) Search and Rescue
Once the mission begins, you will need to dive into the water and follow the checkpoint to make your way through the Mesopelagic Twilight.
The path will lead you down to a turbine that will kill you unless you turn it off and this can be done by interacting with a switch to the side where you can safely land.
Continue making your way down after activating the switch and proceed with following the waypoint until you reach a sealed door that you will activate with another switch near it.
2) Break the Taken Defense
After going through the sealed area, continue making your way inside until you are in the open area, where Taken enemies will begin to appear.
Proceed to make your way to the waypoint and you will need to clear out the Taken enemies that have spawned around you.
3) The Coward Flesh Must Burn
Things will start to go crazy from here and you will need to continue making your way through while following the waypoint.
You will need to continue fighting through the Taken and travel from area to area until you close in on Ahsa’s location. (Swimming and running involved)
4) Rescue Ahsa
Proceed with fighting your way through the Taken enemies and continue until you reach the Hadal Sunken Shelf, where Ahsa is being captured.
Head into the area where the ritual is being performed and a fight will soon begin where you need to face off against multiple enemies to prevent Ahsa’s capture.
5) Disrupt the Ritual
You will need to defeat the Hive enemies in the area and continue with taking out the 3 Hive Wizards called Scream of Xivu Arath.
Each of the Hive Wizards will drop Corrupted Coral, which you need to pick up and deposit nearby to disrupt the ritual. (a total of 3 are needed)
After depositing the second Corrupted Coral, Lord Saladin will send forces to help you and you will need to defeat the last Scream of Xivu Arath and make the last deposit.
Once the last Corrupted Coral is deposited, the remaining enemies will disappear and the mission will end with a cutscene.
Barotrauma Mission Rewards
Completing, the Barotrauma Mission will begin a cutscene where a connection between Sloane and Ahsa is made once more and the next plot unfolds.
This will allow you to progress to the next quest steps of the Into the Depths quest, which later leads to its completion.
Summary
Tensions are growing and Ahsa was almost captured but thanks to your help, the ritual was prevented and Sloane was reunited with her.
It was revealed that Sloane was losing control but Zavala was around to calm her down, revealing what was also on Ahsa’s mind.
It is now believed that the key to victory may lie with Savathun’s rebirth but not everyone in the Vanguard will appreciate this step in the fight against The Witness.
