They can also provide useful support and work capabilities, making a strong Grass Pal valuable for both combat and everyday base activities.
If you have a Grass Pal you want to carry into the endgame, Grass Radiant Gems are needed to create the Awakening Crystal that can take its final build even further.
Where To Get Grass Radiant Gem?
Grass Radiant Gems can be obtained from certain Grass Pals in the World Tree, although the available sources are limited compared with some other elemental gems.
Shroomer and Shroomer Noct can drop Grass Radiant Gems, but they only appear alongside the Mycora Alpha encounter, limiting how often you can specifically hunt them for materials.
Silvance provides a larger amount of Grass Radiant Gems, but as a dungeon boss, its cooldown prevents you from farming it continuously.
World Tree Grass Pals
There are currently only a few practical Pal sources for Grass Radiant Gems, with the following encounters providing the material.
- Shroomer – Grass
- Shroomer Noct – Dark/Grass
- Silvance – Grass
Shroomer and Shroomer Noct are tied to the Mycora Alpha encounter, while Silvance is encountered as a dungeon boss with a cooldown between attempts.
Other Ways To Get Grass Radiant Gems
World Tree Expeditions can provide Grass Radiant Gems as rewards, giving you another opportunity to collect the material while your Pals complete expedition tasks.
Fishing throughout the World Tree can also reward Grass Radiant Gems, making it worth checking your catches while gathering other resources.
World Tree treasure chests can contain Grass Radiant Gems as well, giving you occasional opportunities to find them during normal exploration.
Ancient Relics can be processed through the Ancient Relic Recycler for a chance to obtain Grass Radiant Gems alongside its other rewards.
Grass Radiant Gem Uses
Grass Radiant Gems are primarily used to craft Grass Awakening Crystals, which are consumed to permanently strengthen compatible Grass Pals.
Each Grass Awakening Crystal requires 50 Grass Radiant Gems and 10 World Tree Holy Water, making a steady supply important if you plan to awaken several Grass Pals.
Using the crystal permanently increases the Pal’s Health, Attack, and Defense, while also giving the awakened Pal the distinctive golden aura associated with Awakening.
Verdict
Grass Radiant Gems are currently a grind because there is no Grass Pal source that you can repeatedly hunt without dealing with encounter restrictions or cooldowns.
Silvance is valuable when available, while Shroomer and Shroomer Noct give you additional opportunities through the Mycora Alpha encounter.
For continuous farming, stockpiling Ancient Relics and feeding them into the Recycler is the most reliable approach, but expect to process plenty of relics since the rewards are random.
