The Path of Riddles Quest Walkthrough: Diablo 4

The location of the first part of the blade has been found, and along with Tharra and Lorath, you must now enter the Labyrinthine Grove.

With a place such as this that has been untouched for centuries, it is uncertain what horrors await you and what challenges will hinder you from obtaining the part.

With Lorath and Tharra by your side, things may seem easier, but you must push forward and be ready to face anything that comes your way.

How To Get The Path of Riddles Quest?

The Path of Riddles becomes your active quest after you have completed a quest called In Rathma’s Footsteps.

This is where you previously searched for the untouched forest and wound up coming face-to-face with an Infernal Corpse Tamer before finding the entrance to the Labyrinthine Grove.

The Path of Riddles Walkthrough

Once the quest starts, begin by entering the Labyrinthine Grove, and this will bring you to The Blind Holt, where you must explore the forest.

Fight your way through the forest until you reach the first riddle area, which has a riddle stating, “I see all, yet know nothing. All of Sanctuary is beneath me. What am I?”

While the answer to this would sound like “Flame of the Sky” would be the right choice, the actual one is “Flame of the Mother.”

A path will be opened, and this will lead you to a portal called “Rift in the Woods,” and you will need to enter it and start making your way to the next riddle area.

The next riddle will read “Sometimes I am the light that casts a shadow. Sometimes I am the shadow. Which one am I really?”

Select the Flame of Both, which will be the correct answer and will open up a path to another Rift in the Woods that will allow you to progress.

The last area will only have one choice, making this less of a riddle and more of a warning, but the group must proceed, which means you will have to choose the Flame of Fate.

Make your way inside, and there will be an ambush, and you will need to clear out the enemies before making your way into the Forgotten Hideaway.

Once you are in the Forgotten Hideaway, explore the area and make your way to the very end, which is where the blade’s hilt can be found.

Once you reach the part, it will be protected by a barrier, and before attempting anything, you will need to speak to Lorath.

A simple puzzle needs to be solved, and if you read the Faded Inscription to the right, it will read, Power born of Hell begets Corruption. (This is the hint)

Select the following in order: Dunaxys (Power), Abythos (Hell), and lastly, Coruphar (Corruption) to solve the puzzle, removing the barrier.

Take the Hilt of Lilith’s Blade and speak to Lorath, who will take a look at the hilt, but there will be a sudden commotion outside.

Make your way out of the Forgotten Hideway and go to the marked location, which is where a Hand of Akarat will be.

Tharra and Lorath will make off with the hilt, while you need to stay behind to fight off the Hand of Akarat, who later transforms into a Hateborn Brute.

You experience a strange sensation and have to endure the pain for a bit, and while this happens, the quest comes to an end.

The Path of Riddles Quest Rewards

After defeating the Hateborn Brute and enduring the strange pain, the quest will be complete, and a new one called A Door Was Opened begins.

In addition to the next quest being unlocked, you also receive:

  • XP
  • Gold

Verdict

After making your way through the Labyrinthine Grove, you were finally able to reach the location where the hilt was hidden.

While the situation took an unexpected turn, Lorath and Tharra managed to escape with the hilt as you stayed behind and slew the Hateborn Brute.

With the ordeal over, your focus shifts to regrouping with Lorath and Tharra to ensure they are safe and still in possession of the hilt.
